i'm not much of a comic book reader either, but I'll be picking up the Thunderbolts series.

I was wondering how Venom went from a big beast with black goo everywhere to a Deadpool-esque dude with pouches and machine guns.

I recently built two Deadpool 1/6 figures, thanks to the fine people here at SF and grossly overbought accessories. So this Venom will be a perfect figure to eat up some of those extras for me.

a hand with sword would have been nice...but then it would be like every other Deadpool statue on the market
for me, the chicken is incredibly unique...and makes it stand out from all the rest

Definetly a unique feature. I'v been getting into the Deadpool comics the last little bit and a chicken with some dynamite in its butt fits his profile for sure lol. Can't wait till Tuesday gonna order ASAP.

Being like every other DP statue on the market wouldn't have bothered me because I this is the only DP statue I plan on owning and it wouldn't been my preferred display option had they given it but its far from being a deal breaker or anything.

The COH and arm obviously gives the peeps who want a more serious DP the statue that they want.

The nice thing is with the switch out parts we can all display the DP we like most. That's win-win for all of us.

I know some people were disappointed with the museum pose, but everyone (who orders the EX, probably) gets two sides of Deadpool's personality in 1 statue. I think SS put thought into this.

Although I prefer a menacing head for Deadpool, I like when switch out heads for any statue show a clear artistic difference or substantial change. That's always going to be better than going the easy route like "straight face head, angry head."
