Sideshow - FEWTURE Models Ancient Predator WIP shots (warning - LOTS of photos)

Hey all,

Here is a project that I have been working on for ....
well, quite some time...trying to get things done
in-between projects.

I finally have it to a point that I can share some
photos of the progress. This is the Fewture Models
kit (not the prepaint) from the original release from
Japan (before Sideshow distributed it's second release).

Here, I will start with the spear...I asked my friend
Scott Whitworth to make a custom change to the
spear that originally had the Predator head and
replace it with the Geometric Designs 1/8th
scale ALIENS head.

Here is the Predator head so far, I still need to do
some clean up on the tattoos and tighten things up
a bit:

Here is the completed ALIEN type horse creature...
WHEW!!! This was ALOT of work!

Hey all, thanks so much for the kind comments. It may be a little
bit before I can get back to this (I have some deadlines to meet
on some other projects)...but I will post new shots as soon as I
can get more completed.

Yikes! LOL! You don't like the sculpt?
Like many, I have followed the work of sculpting master Takeya for a
long time...it's a unique design (for sure)...but I don't think I would
refer to any of his work as a "turd"

also - i don't know who to blame for the butthole pic. you for taking the pic, or the sculptor for sculpting it in the first place.

I believe that it was the option pack head (that included the white metal
tongue). My friend (sculptor Scott Whitworth), did the custom work to
change out the Predator Head and replace it with the ALIENS one.
I cut the white metal tongue so that it could be seen...but still inside the
mouth.

Sorry about the butt shot...I was just trying to show the paint work on the
horses hind quarters.
