Super Freak
After years of saving and paying down debt, I was finally able to move my family in our first house this year, getting that small piece of the American dream. We stayed within a budget, but realized that the down payment, closing costs, monthly mortgage, and start up costs (furniture, housewares, etc), would diminish our cash reserves and that'd we’d be house poor for the first year or so, necessitating a tightening of our belts.
Unfortunately, being on a budget means little money for extra things outside of the budget. My daughters’ birthdays are coming up in February and March respectively, and we have no extra cash outside of our budget for their birthdays (and I refused to use credit needlessly and accumulate more debt).
I’ve always said I’d give my girls all the things I never got as a child, and I’m not going to tell them that we can only afford a small family gathering for their birthday this year, so I am sacrificing my Sideshow G.I. Joe collection (of course, I will really regret this should Sideshow ever produce Lowlight and Tunnel Rat).
NOTE: All figures are the Exclusive Version, with the exception of those that did not come with EX versions, i.e. the Cobra Officer, Sniper, and Trooper, as well as their respective Desert Variants. Additionally, all figures come with "extras" that I have added; these range from additional assault rifles, sidearms, and extra grenades to communications gear. I have provided explanations with each figure.
