Top one looks like the MkII pose and bottom MkIII.
At least they're going for different looks...Hulks anyone?

Re: Iron Man Mark V Maquette

This pose is no worst than the pose of the last Iron Man 1/4 sideshow released a few years back but people go crazy for that.

But now we have other companies making IM too. SS should give us a nice cool pose :dunno

I would have definitely been down for a MKV maquette but as others have said the pose is awkward and doesn't do squat to really showcase the suit imo. There are much better poses from the film that Sideshow could have gone with as earlier posted screen caps have illustrated. I wouldn't call the MKV an iconic IM suit but the scenes that feature it in IM2 were pivotal in the plot of the movie so it deserves a place in my collection but not with this current pose.

As it sits right now, the MKIII and the MKVII are the only two I am considering adding to the collection unless Sideshow rethinks their pose on the MKV.

Yeah. This would have been my vote for mk V.

:goodpost: :exactly: No need to try and reinvent the wheel on this statue, use one of the iconic poses direct from the film.

Right arm out is the MkII pose.

Not really, there's 3 to choose from as I posted above and a 4th if you count when he's downed by Vanko on 1 knee here:

Not really? The MkII has a right arm out pose...Fact!
There must be plenty of better options but I don't think anyone wants a MkV being submissive and overpowered by Whiplash.

Glad I don't like this as it makes an easy pass.

Uh, I know this - I posted that exact pose up above...

There are other options, again as I posted above, but not too many from the Monaco fight scene which this prototype is drawing from as indicated by it's base.

Another could be this one when he rips Vanko's reactor from his suit, but this does look almost identical to the Mk VI bust.
