To jump in to the defense of HCG's P2, while it isnt perfect, its still FAR better than SS's AVP bios (except Wolf) and it cleans up quite nicely

Thats something thats always been a little back-burner fix-up I'd like to do, but I first need to find a really detailed pic of the mesh type/size used so that I can better replicate it. I'm sure someone here has some good pics...

Thanks, it was actually quite simple, and I could easily give you instructions on how I did it, or I can do it for you if you'd like.

I say go for it, you might be pleasantly surprised. It only real downfall (aside the visor mesh size, if thats important to you) is the overly "dull" finish that needs to be fixed up a bit. One done, everyone that has seen mine in person swears its made of real copper.

P2's my favorite everything, but hasn't the price on this gone up to like $400-$500?
I've got about $515 saved up for SSCC..so I doubt I can afford it.

That wouldn't really be accurate seeing as the HGC P2 is based on the stunt bio, atleast they put lenses in lol. Iv always liked their P2 but i would so love a Hero P2 bio, and sooner rather than later, wether its from HCG or Sideshow i don't care as long as they do a good job on it.

have you seen Art Gonzales's custom P2? The mesh he put in is perfect. I'm not sure if your aware or not, but the real P2 Bio actually had a descent amount of green in it too.

bbts had it on clearance not too long ago, you missed out. They had it in stock for a hella long time. Defn not a $400-500 piece at the moment. Be patient and I guarantee you will get one for a good price.

Nevermind, just googled it and found a pic of it next to SS's Wolf, Celtic and Scar on someone's wall..
It looks the same size or a bit bigger than them.. The actual P2 Bio, not the stunt version, must be enormous then.

So the quality of it isn't any worse than SS's AvP Trio?

I think you miss understood, it is full 1:1 life size, it is however a replica of the stunt bio used in the film (i.e where the P2 is crawling along the top of the train) the stunt has less detail than the hero, different mesh and the dull paint job you see reprisented on the HCG bio.

doubt it, as far as I know, the head/mask was the same size for KPH and his stunt; at least they look the same size to me.

well if the head was noticeably smaller compared to a human head on screen, don't you think it would look bad? The stunt man looked like George Costanza in Pred suits compared to KPH. I know there's pics somewhere, don't have them myself though.

There's that, but there's also the fact that the head could look too big on the smaller body..
I don't know what all scenes the stunt dude was in, though.
