Oh ....before I forget. I talked to Mike (Program Manager) at the SSC booth today. The WW PF on display is a production piece ...and he confirmed that they had to key her back so that the shield and sword wouldn't move around. So if you display WW without the shield and sword, then you'll have a hole on her back.

Lol. Andy from Sideshow told me the opposite. He said none of the new trinity are production pieces. Frankly, I’m concerned if it’s a production piece. What’s the horizontal line on her face by her right ear?

What the hell?!

....so in other words we don't know who to believe. Great!

So the DC Trinity PFs are indeed production pieces. Nearmint spoke with Mike at the SDCC booth.

Just talked to Mike at Sideshow.
Legendary scale Yoda is production, but subtle changes will be made to his clothing and whispy hair.
Princess Leia Premium Format is production.
The trinity are all production, which is very exciting, as all appear to match proto.

I'll believe it when they ship and still look like that. Pretty sure first "production" piece are still pieces that get more attention then when they go into full on mass production. There have been plenty of examples of production photos looking great and the shipped pieces still turning out to be a disaster.

this "production piece" stuff makes me chuckle.

does anyone actually think they would have shown a statue with crappy paint? come on now...

That would make me sad. :( The sculpt of the musculature was cool and so was the option of displaying with or without imo.

I hear ya. But production pieces are the only things we can go by. SSC is obviously not going to have each production piece professionally painted by Sapene. At least its a good indicator of what to expect.

Yeah it is disappointing.

But wasn't it mentioned on one of their Live Shows during the time when this went up for preorder that the shield would most likely be pegged into the body? I never thought it was going to be an available option, unless I missed something.

They definitely touch them up before the statues are shown

I think WW looks more manly in these photos with the harsh light. Not bad, still nice but her face is not as soft as it is in the marketing photos (which makes sense). Still want to see her in hand before ordering though.

I don't quite agree. A lot of female Sideshow statues look mannish lately: Thai Ladyboy Elektra, Ivy, Mystique, but this one looks like a woman 100%. Just a very fit woman which WW should be anyway. They did a great job on this one and she looks like a girl thank goodness

While I disagree; I did LOL when I read that. :lol

Heaven forbid the statue would look like a woman. :lol

I actually agree, I will also wait as the paint has seen a bit of a change since the proto pics, and will likely change more for the actual production run

Hah, man, I thought Elektra looked fantastic!

Is the skirt removable? I would prefer her without her skirt on.

Yes.

The Exclusive edition of the Wonder Woman Premium Format™ Figure includes a removable polyvinyl skirt for Diana’s costume, allowing an additional display option for the figure.
