I did the exact same thing. Maybe the TDK suit will be better. Maybe.
I think everyone is definitely getting Joker. Less will get Batman, as there's so many version of the BB suit already in people's hands. They won't all trade up.

Yep. It's true there are many BB Figs around but HT has now made the definitive one and if the TDK suit blows you are S.O.L. I believe there will always be more HT BB V2 available in the aftermarket but the question is, what's it gonna cost ya? Once this thing hits, and if Collectors go gaga over it, it will become the new gold Standard.
I quickly changed my thinking on this a few days ago.

I hope not, because I went the same route. I know I want a BB Bats, but I could "settle" for a Takara if the new HT one knocks the price of the Tak down a few pegs.

do you have any of the previous BB figures? I got one mainly because i don't own any, but also because IMO it's the best one out there. Just look at that face sculpt!!
what is your main reason for not getting one? if you just don't like it, then you may not regret it, but if you like it, you probably will. unless you are waiting for the new suit.

I ordered mines at BBTS, I've still got my Hot Toys Wolf Predator plus a few GI Joes waiting to be shipped from my pile-o-loot. Even though it's $175 each I like the use of the pile-o-loot, saves me on shipping and I could always cancel without paying a fee. Can't wait for them to pre-sell TDK Batman suit.

The Bale sculpt is superb.
My thinking on the new old Batman is 2 fold: 1) Hot Toys loves to give us updated versions of their figures. So holding off on the new Batman suit might be a good idea as they'll probably rerelease that figure with newer/different Bruce Wayne and clothes or base or whatever in the future -- perhaps as early as the BluRay release? But the Original Suit Batman IS the rerelease with all the added/updated cool things and perhaps the last release of this outfit.
And 2) the new suit looks a tad bit... fancy. Whereas the old suit looks gorgeous.
