Dont get me wrong Furystorm i'd still buy it!!
I'd just prefer the Aliens version (the original and best imo)
Does anyone think they will ever do specific scenes with these dio's or just stick to how they are doing them now?

I'm hoping the next dio is from [gasp] AVP. Maybe Celtic roaring after he throws 'ol Griddy, or some kind of pose with Scar throwing/about to throw his shuriken. Hell, maybe we'll get Chopper face down in a corner.

If we were to get AVP dios, I'd imagine we'd get Scar, then Celtic, then Chopper. Personally, I'd like a Chopper and a Wolf.
Wolf because, well... it's ^^^^ing Wolf, and Chopper, because there isn't much of him out there.

I really like the Palisades Scar statue pose alot. I wonder what kind of pose the AvP Pred's can be put in since The P1 & P2 dio's look like they're stalking their prey. The AvP Pred's never did much stalking besides when Scar killed a few of them

I should have this before, but the only way I'd buy the AVP guys is if Sideshow doesn't do 100% screen accurate sculpts of the bodies.

I guess i have really bad taste because i always think the opposite. I like the AVP preds because there big, ecspecially when Celtic tackled "Grid" alien and also threw him. I mean who didn't think that part was awsome? (besides Alien fans)

Oh, I enjoyed the scene... I'm just not a fan of how Anderson wanted them to look. I didn't like how they were as wide as they seemed tall. I mean, the torso looks bloated, they have stubby legs, and it doesn't look like (in part thanks to the armor) they could have even lowered their arms at their sides properly.
As far as Predators go for me, it's lean, and mean all the way. If SSC gave us THAT body, as dios - I'm definitely passing.

Damn after seeing those pics i see what you mean, i guess i always remembered them as being taller.

They were only bulky b/c they had smaller actors in the suit, I don't see why it would be a problem to sculpt them the way they were supposed to look with the proper actor in the suit. Just like what HT did

Because that's not what they looked like. The only scenes in AVP with different actors in the suits were scenes that showed all 3 Preds together. Individual scenes (like the pics Adam posted) were all done by the same actor, Ian Whyte, who's 7'2". He also played the AVP Elder. Has nothing to do with armor or the size of the actor(s) the film makers specifically wanted these Preds to be bulky so the suits were thicker. Which makes the Predators appear stubby. And it looked like crap. HT didn't "sculpt them the way they were supposed to look with the proper actor in the suit" HT simply made their AVP Preds the way they are out of neccesity. Because ALL their Preds are about the same body wise. It wasn't like they were trying to accurately portray them, it was a business decision. One body, multiple figures.

Sorry, what I meant was I'm dying to see the Aliens version of the queen in any manner as a diorama. With eggsack, Ripley and Newt, drones, whatever. But I just don't have much interest in the AVP Queen. I guess it comes down to childhood favoritism again for me.
I could not justify buying a very expensive Queen Diorama unless it was from Aliens!

My mistake then. Are the AvP bodies the same as the P2/Lost/P2 Elder?

I have nothing against the overall design of the AVP preds (bio's,armour etc) but the body builder look just ruins them for me,a pred is meant to be a stealthy hunter not an american footballer.

I agree with ya. The whole claws on feet and short bulky look kinda does kill it. P1 will always be the best their was!!!
