Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection
Yeah, I hear ya. I'm not sure if the arm was relaxed if that'd change anything. Some of his characters look perfect, but it's also part of how he draws to make certain parts of characters sometimes less proportionate than some may like. I could go look through his art and find plenty of images that look great, and that I'd love to own! But there are also some drawings he puts up that just don't do it for me at all, mainly due to how certain pieces of anatomy don't match up, or distract too much from the overall piece.
If you ordered Vamp, then just check it out when you receive it and decide for yourself! Definitely don't go off of what distracts me from the piece! If that shoulder wasn't an issue for me, then I'd love the piece! I probably wouldn't have spent art print money on it (way too much with the conversion rate) but I'd buy a print of it regularly! I think it looks great aside from that! So if you can look past it, then enjoy it!
Apparently Artgerm is looking into setting up an online store. Whether or not this is true or not, or how long it'll take him to get it up and running -- and if he'll even sell his Marvel/DC stuff there -- is all unknown right now. I'm not holding my breath, but I do hope it comes to fruition, as I'd love to own some of his work!
I understand what you're saying about the shoulder - but I'm not sure you understood me.
I agree that her head looks off center, and that her right shoulder/neck area seems too long compared to her left, but I'm wondering if her left arm was relaxed, would it look the same on that side too?
Does it just look off because her left arm/shoulder is raised? Or is she genuinely deformed. That's what I'm trying to determine.
Yeah, the head and neck on that Harely print are annoying. I think I could get over the length of the neck if the head was a bit larger.
The Catwoman also had a proportional issue. One of her arms was much shorter than the other. I think this artist mainly focuses on making the breasts, butt and face as seductive as possible and doesn't worry too much about the rest of the anatomy. Not saying his art isn't great or anything.
Arhg. I don't know if I should keep it or sell it.
