Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I understand what you're saying about the shoulder - but I'm not sure you understood me.

I agree that her head looks off center, and that her right shoulder/neck area seems too long compared to her left, but I'm wondering if her left arm was relaxed, would it look the same on that side too?

Does it just look off because her left arm/shoulder is raised? Or is she genuinely deformed. That's what I'm trying to determine.

Yeah, the head and neck on that Harely print are annoying. I think I could get over the length of the neck if the head was a bit larger.

The Catwoman also had a proportional issue. One of her arms was much shorter than the other. I think this artist mainly focuses on making the breasts, butt and face as seductive as possible and doesn't worry too much about the rest of the anatomy. Not saying his art isn't great or anything.

Arhg. I don't know if I should keep it or sell it.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'm not sure if the arm was relaxed if that'd change anything. Some of his characters look perfect, but it's also part of how he draws to make certain parts of characters sometimes less proportionate than some may like. I could go look through his art and find plenty of images that look great, and that I'd love to own! But there are also some drawings he puts up that just don't do it for me at all, mainly due to how certain pieces of anatomy don't match up, or distract too much from the overall piece.

If you ordered Vamp, then just check it out when you receive it and decide for yourself! Definitely don't go off of what distracts me from the piece! If that shoulder wasn't an issue for me, then I'd love the piece! I probably wouldn't have spent art print money on it (way too much with the conversion rate) but I'd buy a print of it regularly! I think it looks great aside from that! So if you can look past it, then enjoy it! :)

Apparently Artgerm is looking into setting up an online store. Whether or not this is true or not, or how long it'll take him to get it up and running -- and if he'll even sell his Marvel/DC stuff there -- is all unknown right now. I'm not holding my breath, but I do hope it comes to fruition, as I'd love to own some of his work!

He just posted this...now this...this is gorgeous. I want that so much that words don't actually do my want for it justice.

That Leia cover by Artgerm looks gorgeous!

On another note, I just got my processing notice for the new unframed Batman print for the 17th.

Well ****. :lol

I'm excited that it's finally coming, but I'm not thrilled with the exchange rate at the moment. I just wished that SS could ship both my prints at the same time so I can at least save some coin on shipping. :gah: I am absolutely going to be pissed if what other collectors are saying is true and that SS is indeed using UPS for international shipping. :gah: :gah:

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I'm sure we'll get another three prints popping up in the next couple of weeks! SDCC has thrown them a bit behind...though I guess the random Terminator print may have been their way of filling the void a bit.

Same Tuesday processing.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

That T2 print is beautiful! Definitely ordered!

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

The T2 print looks amazing in person. I still have to completely unpack all my SDCC stuff but I'll post a pic of the T1 print I bought at the con. The artist was selling AP of the SS print for $100 so I bought an AP print and cancelled my SS order. Since I didn't have to pay for shipping I actually got the AP cheaper than what I'd pay for a regular edition from SS. I wish I could have bought a T2 print from him too but he said he's not allowed to sell them until SS puts it up for PO.

Definitely post pics of the T1 print! I'm excited to get mine!

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I got my framed Vampirella print today. Anybody thinking of ordering these you won't be at all disappointed with the impeccable standard of quality. I got Framed Supes and Batman coming next. The extra $150 for framing is a bit costly however you don't want anybody else handling the job. Sideshow has the right people doing the framing.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I could use some help. As I mentioned before I accidentally let my WL convert and got the Vampirella print. I now know its in my best interest to sell it. My question is should I open up the shipping tube to inspect it or is best to keep it sealed and sell as an unopened item. Have there been any known QC issues. I have heard of the difficulty of pulling them out which is why I was thinking it might be best not to mess with it.

By the way, Looks great medic, I'm afraid if I open mine I wont want to sell her.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Honestly, I'd open it up to at least inspect the corners and sides for damage. It comes with a larger sheet of outer craft paper rolled over it double taped. The printed side is protected with an inner sheet. You can easily pull out the protected print from the shipping tube and just do a general inspection without untaping it. No need to open up the print itself if you don't feel comfortable doing so. I'd consider doing that just to give yourself and the potential buyer peace of mind when doing your transaction. If I was a potential buyer, I know that I'd really appreciate you as a seller for checking the condition of the print. Who knows, if it is damaged you can just send it back for a refund so you can at least break even on it.
