There are art prints... not individual paintings
I love my prints and will probably still buy some.
Semantics y'all
I disagree. I think it is a pretty big deal when 99.9999 percent of the buyers on these boards actually thought these were signed prints.
I mean, is it more or less valuable to have the same print, but signed by the artist. I mean actually signed, not rubberstamped by Jeffy.
The funny thing is, I bet I would have still bought what I have IF they had never been portrayed as being signed prints. But finding out that what I have is bogus in a sort of accidental way is pretty infuriating. Makes me feel kind of taken advantage of by SS, and I am hardly one of SS's critics.
An "authorized pencil artist signature" could be definitely open to interpretation which I'm SURE was intentional.
Your not grasping my point. My point is they manipulated the description to make it appear we were getting a legit sig. Reign it in there bro.
We all got duped, people, cause we didn't ask questions. Every single autograph I have from the Stars we used to watch in the scandalous 1960's TV shows were ALL HAND-SIGNED by the star in my presence, so I know what I got is 100% authentic. I'm disappointed but not at all surprised by this. All we can do at this point is just stop buying them. They knew what they were doing cause no where does it state, "hand-signed" and that's how from a legal standpoint they protected themselves. I got Unframed PG coming next week and I'll get the Unframed Supergirl so I can have it to match the statue which I suspect will be a blast and blow away all of them including Batgirl. And after Supergirl, I'm done collecting prints. When I visit LA I will be sure to visit them and Stanley will have to hand-sign his work for me.
I think Poison Ivy will remain my favorite, but Supergirl looks pretty good.
Got my custom framed Batgirl back the other day.
99% UV protection glass and went with a real and black mat.
That looks terrific. May I ask who framed it for you? The ones from SS don't come with no UV protection I believe.
