Yeah I go crazy with the conservation glass and the type of matting used. And the triple mat SSC uses is a little much for me. Just my personal take and taste on it

I didn't use a mat..it's just a straight frame

How much did Michaels charge you for the frame job? i was told they send it out and it's quite expensive the work.

$290 with UV protected masterpiece glass, triple mat and wood frame.

Ordered the Indy print and went on the waitlist for TMNT.

I like Sideshow's frame for Indy but the lack of UV protected acrylic is a deal breaker. I'll just do something similar at Michaels and use wood and masterpiece glass again.

That's a pretty good job. Is that conservation clear or museum glass. Both have UV protection.

Museum. Made sure to get the best for this print. I'll be doing it for my others as well, no question. Much better than I'm used to with my cheaper poster frames. Highly recommended!

So yeah....$140 or whatever Sideshow charges is a steal

There is a big price difference in framing a 24.5"x34.5" piece compared to Sideshow's 18"x24" prints. Not to mention the materials Michaels uses are probably better. Having said that there are local shops that can beat Michaels "sale" prices.

Museum glass is indeed the best. You get amazing clarity, no glare and it's so clear that it appears as if there is no glass in there. You should shop around though for a local framer that can give you the same options but for way less. I got 2 SS prints framed with museum glass for $390 with tax included from 1 of my local framers. Michaels sent your print out for framing and they took a cut of the cost to frame it. Michaels is actually a craft store and not a frame store.

Ordered an unframed to put museum glass instead of the basic glass that SS gives us. This is a no-brainier only 200 made and we'll get a maquette for it.
