With an edition size of 750, is there a pretty good chance on converting for this one? If not, I have a chance at picking one up for about $125 over retail(after taxes and shipping ) so I'm wondering if I should wait a little bit or just buy this one now...
Just order a reg and paint Exclusive on the box and base....problem solve. Oh and trim any number over 750.
Except you forgot Ex comes with extra head.
Those are a significant amount of defects. You should forward the pics to SS customer service. If you can't get better replacements, you should at least be entitled to a partial refund.Hey everyone. I've had my Psylocke EX for around 1 1/2 weeks already. When I opened her up, I was glad since I couldn't find any issues with it. I thought I had a perfect piece.
Turns out it had some issues. I took some daylight photos of her today and spotted them. I wanna post them here and see what everyone thinks. I want to know if I just being picky.
I attached most of the pictures since I don't want to ruin the forum with 10 huge pics. Most of the issues are random paint spots and paint rubbing from the magnetic pieces but nothing major IMO. However, the main worry I have is the base. It looks like it has paint cracks. At first I thought it was only scratches. I was ok with that until I found out it was cracks. You need to really look at the base pictures to see them but they're there.
I still need to check the extra kitana and the Reg head, but other than that, no issues. Yea it's a bit sloppy paint job, but nothing major. I'll post more pics later. I just wanted to address my issues.

Those are tough war marchine. You have every right to feel fully satisfied. Though for me, I have found sometimes im just dissapointed by the new one. I waited five months for my rogue replacement and her body didnt come back any better.
are you guys kidding? warmchine's psylocke looks perfect, i am very critical of sideshow quality as many of you know, but seriously sometime i do pity them that have to deal with those kind of ocd types.
I love it when others try to tell other collectors what to accept in their collection...
Honestly the only issue that bothers me is the base. Members have had this issue with some of their pieces and the results is the paint starts flaking. As for the other issues, they might effect the resale value, but they don't bother me that I want to return it.
from the photo the base doesnt look like paint flaking but a bit ruboff, that's an easy fix if it really bothers you that much because it's just monotone red, get a bit of acrylic gloss red and a super fine brush, and just touch it up a tiny bit in the area that has issues, once dry you cant tell.
Of course you can also exchange the base with sideshow, it's a much less risky than exchange the statue & receiving an even worse one, the only problem is they might mess up the base # so you end up with a box + base that doesnt match (bad for resale, ppl will think it's a defective returned item) or the peg may not fit 100%.
Honestly i wont be too concerned about the base, especially it's not anything special just a monotone red paint.
I love this pic. Congrats
