Took this picture last night. another crack in the paint starting at the bottom.

sent this picture a couple of weeks ago to sideshow.

i dont recall seeing any spider cracks on the base the first time but, saw quite afew last night.

It's absolutely bizarre that the paint cracking is on that same area. There has got to be a reason for this?

So does anyone go back check theirs and find crack? My is still good. At least now.

I got mine here recently I was lucky no breaks or cracks or bad paint spots

Since Im a painter I do look at the piece knowing I could paint it better

I may customize mine at a later date and paint her up in X-force colors

Hay guys

Ok i had a chance to strip the paint off my Psy today and what i found out is there is no primer on the statue at all. What they did is spray basic skin paint onto the resin, and didn't even fully coat the statue. They sprayed the skin to where the boots start and stopped and then the top of the boot blue paint is over the skin paint and then goes directly onto the resin.

So my guess is since its not think coating and has any bonding chemical into it like a primer paint does, its cracking cause its not sticking.

Even the black on the hair is straight to resin. First time i ever stripped a statue that was pure paint onto resin. Some other companies do this as well, but their base coat wether it be skin or color is still thick and primer based.

So thats what i found out for you guys.

So happy I passed on this with all the problems. I was very upset they changed the face and made her ugly .... now it saved me a big headache

Agreed, they made her ugly and very unlike Jim Lee's art. Both heads are bad but the Ex head is hideous. Too bad too, I was one of the first in line to order her from the original images.

The primer issue is alarming.

I'm glad that I wasn't one of the ones to get this cheaply put together statue. This is all that I'm going to need to find another hobby. TRUE STORY!

Aargh everything was fine a couple of weeks ago, now the base is hair line cracking. It's probably a matter of time till the legs crack now I suppose

I am on the waiting list for replacement body, I wonder if I should get a refund instead. If mine is the regular would be no brainer, I would ask for a refund for sure.

Despite the issue, the EX is still selling way above retail price in the after market, and I really like the sculpt on this piece.

Yah I'm n a WL too. If I don't get it, I will ask for my money back in full. Not really about pouring so much money to get this from happening.

I'm going to call SS about mine too. The base now has spider web cracks. This is the reg version too. Sucks

Im in the same boat. Mine has small cracks on the leg but hardly noticeable. Do I sell her or just get a refund? I like this piece but I worry if it will just deteriorate over the next year or so.

I emailed mike Tolentino today on the primer issue. Not got a reply back though.
