Re: Rhino Comiquette - ON SALE NOW - use link in first post!

Hope Bodie doesn't see this post. He'll just call you numbnuts for thinking that. :lol

While I think Rhino looks beyond great, I was never a big fan of the character. So for me, I'd go with Skaar. I'm a firm believer that you just can't go wrong either way. These are both KILLER sculpts. If push came to shove, you would just have to pick which character you like best. Both of these will look awesome on any display shelf.

everyone's entitled to their opinion, and since I've known of rhino since i was like 5-6 years old and of Skar only recently, then for me its a no brainer. Now on the apprecitation side of things I do believe Skar will jump quickly then level out, while Rhino will raise slow and steady:lecture imo.

PS: now if we were comparing an actual Hulk new release to Rhino then that would be a different story for sure. Of course I'd just get both.

Re: Rhino Comiquette - ON SALE NOW - use link in first post!

I wonder if more Spidey villains will be made... I'd dig Lizard, Doc Ock , Kraven PFs

Re: Rhino Comiquette - ON SALE NOW - use link in first post!

It would make sense to make more.

Yes, but in what scale? Will they be 1/5 Coms or 1/4 PFs. I wonder if SSC will make a 1/5 classic Spidey Com? Hob Gob looks to be lonely as the only 1/5 scale piece in the line.

Re: Rhino Comiquette - ON SALE NOW - use link in first post!

Hopefully 1/4 since most of the Spidey stuff has been at that scale.

Agreed. That would make the most sense. I wonder if we'll even see another 1/5 Com outside of the modern X-MEN, AH, and Brooks lines. Come to think of it, there hasn't been any new news or sneaks for a long while in the Marvel 1/5 line. The 1/4 fully sculpted pieces are getting a lot of love. I'm seriously digging that trend.

Re: Rhino Comiquette - ON SALE NOW - use link in first post!

Hey guys I am new to statue collecting and I am gonna make this Rhino my first major purchase. I don't really care if I get a regular or a ex as i see they are sold out any way but I was wondering if someone could explain the waitlist. If your on it do you not find out till all the way in Jan 2013 or do you get an update sooner if you make the cut. I am just worried about committing to the waitlist then missing out on the regular while I am waiting. If I PRE-ORDER the regular then get a ex am I committed to buying both. Sorry about the long post any help would be appreciated guys.

If you are on the waitlist it can get activated at any time. Sometimes years later... Sideshow used to cancel the waitlist once the item was fully sold out after shipping but a new and sucky trend they have is to cancel popular items waitlists before shipping and try and force your hand into ordering the regular. If you have a regular on order and your exclusive order converts they will switch it for you and you won't forfeit your deposit.

Re: Rhino Comiquette - ON SALE NOW - use link in first post!

If your on the waitlist, your order can convert at anytime before or after release until SS cancels all waitlist orders. Your guaranteed nothing though. You can cancel at anytime and there is no non refundable deposit to get on the waitlist.

Re: Rhino Comiquette - ON SALE NOW - use link in first post!

There is no NRD or payment until your waitlist converts to an order, although a waitlist can convert at anytime before or after there is a queue so yours would convert before someone who jumped on the waitlist after you.

Sideshow usually refunds or transfers an NRD to another order for the first time you cancel a deposited order, after that first time you'd lose out cancelling one again.

So you should be free to order the Reg and have them cancel that and transfer over the NRD should your waitlist convert for the Ex

I wouldn't pay NRD on the reg Rhino while having the EX on WL. The WL for Rhino EX will convert. Just make sure you don't WL Flex Pay and you will have a better chance of it converted.

Re: Rhino Comiquette - ON SALE NOW - use link in first post!

Thanks for the big welcome. peedi, it's nice to have a place to go where there are other like minded folks to chat. I actually have another question for anyone who could help. I live in Canada and I just saw when I went to place my order that I could get nailed for duty when my order ships. It said anywhere from 0-20%, that's a big risk to take an may cause me to have to reconsider ordering from sideshow :(. Any fellow Canadians have any advice or experience in regards to this? Thanks again everyone. I would hate to miss out on this but it's starting to add up.

Hi Artic, I live in Thompson, MB and I always order from Sideshow. I have paid between 30-40 CAD to FEDEX to clear the item.

To give you an idea, I ordered the LOTR statues and Spider-Man and Carnage comiquettes.

Ok so when it shows up at your door your pay FedEx $40 dollars or so and that's it? Also yesterday I did the steps to order the destroyer maquette and the estimated shipping to my location on the sideshow site was only $25. Is that right? Seems like it would be more. But that's what te total was when I went to pay. Do you ever get hit for more when it shows up?

Thanks Pendragon and everyone else for helping out.
