Ouch! Glad I cancelled my Indy PF. Fortunately, the rest of my pre-orders are pretty spread out with 1/2 not coming out until 2009.

Are any of these pieces coming out early? If not WTF do you people have to complain about? You've had these things on order for 6+ months. It's not like you didn't know they were coming and should've had the money set aside for them. If two of these shipped in October would it really make that much difference since you'd be spending the money earlier?

Indy wasn't supposed to be until December (I think) and Mundi was supposed to be Q1 09 (I think).

Got the Indy EX PF an one EX Indy 12" and one regular 12". Got the last Flex-Pay for Thor EX PF on Monday and then the last one for Samaritan 2 on the 15th. Should be opk, but will probably drop the 12" Indy's just cause SSC let us down with no followup figures. Boo.

Medicom Ken the survivor 12", Medicom Ichi the killer 12", HT Dallas 12", HT Tereus 12", HT Raiden 12"... I don't want to do the math. It will only make me realize I should quit this hobby...

Only Indy PF and Gandandalf 12" for me. And Indy might be at the end of November, even early December. But still, this is a bit easier than 2005 when it seemed 6 LOTR pieces hit us in December. (I wrapped them up and told my husband, my neighbors, and my son that they were from them and not to get me anything else.)

I keep a spreadsheet with all of my pre-orders (not just from Sideshow) categorized. So it's pretty glaring when a bunch of stuff shifts into the same month.

It's not quite as bad as it looks, but Sideshow did have some stuff move around and that has jumbled the month the way it is:

Anakin Skywalker PF is late (was October)
Gandalf The Grey 12" is a bit early (December was expected)
Lara Croft 12" is a little early
Ki Adi Mundi 12" is much earlier than expected
Indiana Jones 12" should have been released 2 months ago

Again, I'm not necessariy pressing the panic button, nor am I cancelling anything. But this is a disconcerting trend, particularly with the economy the way it is now.

I think this happened last year or maybe earlier this year in January when I was hit with a few 12 inchers, the Sandtropper diroama, Gandalf bust, and maybe the Don Corleone PF within a month time frame? I hate it when this happens. I have a problem "putting away" money for my pre-orders then end up buying more stuff in the time I'm waiting!! (The Dark Knight figures this year come to mind).

This year I think Gandalf and PF Indy are getting the axe. I will keep the 12" Indy though, as I have wanted a good fig of the guy for years. Sideshow needs to be more like Hot Toys in terms of the product-reveal to product-release window, otherwise I simply wont have any money left when their items finally ship! (I will have gotten 3, maybe 4 Dark Knight figs since 12" Indy was revealed...not cool sideshow!)
