Well.....

I was cleaning one of my sideshow pieces and I went forward without noticing that the fin for Jaws was sticking out and BUMP :cut .....got myself a gash on my forehead. It bled for quite a while and but nothing serious. My wife freaked out a little but I was just happy I didn't damaged my Jaws Maquette.... :slap

yikes !. I remember when my darth maul pf landed on my foot. It did break two fingers off and the lightsaber snapped. My toes were actually bleeding but at the time I was more bothered about the statue and barely even noticed lol.

It was close to your eye !. Well.... now you know !. Don't mess with JAWS. :lol:rock

My NECA 18 Robocop fell off the shelf and landed on my keyboard when I was on the computer once. Nothing broken, but I was just glad that it wasnt one of my expensive ones. I guess this just goes to show collecting is a dangerous game we play!

When I was sleeping, a 12 inch McF Pred fell on my face. That was a nice wake up call. Its funny, you feel it, but it doesnt hurt as much as you'd think. I was back to sleep with in a minute....then again, I coulda been knocked out.

Its funny how pain does'nt matter when a statue is involved.
I bet it would have hurt more if Jaw's fin broke off:lol

I was about five. My Parents used to keep our big toys on our top shelf, (It was the 80's child safety not a big deal). My brother climbed up the shelf to get down our Millennium Falcon. He told me to stand underneath and catch, again I was 5. He slid it off the shelf and WHAM! Right on the skull. It put a huge gash on my head, it didn't bleed much but it hurt like hell. I went running to my Mom with him following yelling "I told you to catch!" He got a whippin and I got an ice pack. But the Falcon was fine, go figure.

Now these are the kind of threads we need more off... always interesting to learn the perils of collecting :lol

Hmmm...a new, and un-anticipated, aspect of collecting that I have not considered.

Medical expenses.

This hobby gets more and more expensive every day.

I wonder if we can get collectibles injuries clauses on our regular medical insurance.

If I had to go to the doctor, all I would say would be " I was attacked by a shark" and the medical bills would be covered. The story would be a different one if I had said " I was attacked by the Creature of the Black Lagoon" :lol
