I notice on the SS site, when I always read the reviews from the customers it's always, always the best reviews possible saying the statues are the best, etc. I've been checking for a long time and have not seen one single bad review. I mean I can understand the good reviews which is great! But isn't there some bad reviews also? Is everyone so happy with their purchase? I see some with quality control issues but still have to see one neg review. Do they just pick out all the good responses and ditch the bad ones? I think it should be real and fair. Make it a random pick and posts what all the customers say and not only the good ones. I do use the site reviews on many new product items to see what people say. It can be a deciding factor for me at certain times. What do you all think?

Everything Sideshow produces is awesome 100% of the time. Hence the reviews reflect that. No bias there at all :yess:

They don't post anything less than 4 star reviews or anything negative or critical about their products. They are biased to favor their products as selling testimonials only.

That's not being fair to the fans who reads them. I read it before to see what people thought about a statue and they are all great responses. That does not help me at all. Now I don't read them anymore because I already know it will be all says the products excellent blah, blah. But to be fair I see a online huge very popular retailer who sells transformers really posting at random the good and bad on the toy and company reviews. I guess SS does not want to risk it. If one comment gets on there about the screw ups like the psylocke paint issue, chun Li eyes, and the rogue eye balls being way off. Then the statue could go down the drain. The worst one ever was the psylocke statue. I mean that was the one that really was the worst ever with the cracking on the leg after months or a few years. Now I need to check mine again errrrr. If it cracks I'm still screw SS would not take it back now that it has been past 4 to 5 months. So I'm screwed on this one. At least the rogue and chun Li I can leave it alone with out the statue being called broken, since the psylocke paint and the base is loaded with spider web cracks and the paint starts to peel of little at a time by itself. :monkey1

When someone buys a new collectible they often try to convince them selves how awesome that piece is. Sometimes, even if it looks terrible.

That would also account for the number of positive reviews.

:lol yes I always do this too until after a month or so then reality kicks in. :monkey1 most I like but a few I liked at first, then I really didn't like them so much after a few weeks.

I wonder if you go onto any other businesses websites. No business posts bad reviews, it's not just Sideshow. If you want real honey opinions go to Amazon or websites like this with a fan base. I don't know how hard the concept is. Even with negative reviews businesses are now sueing for loss of business.

I've written reviews there too. Honestly, I'm inclined to write a review on a fantastic piece (a la Jessica Rabbit) and not take the time to write one on a fail (a la Rogue). I know not everyone is like that, but why bother writing a negative review on Rogue, when you know they're not going to publish it anyways?
