JND numbers their statues so I can see them doing it for their figures. Probably have a little card in the box that has your edition number.

The only other company I'm aware of that actually numbers their limited edition 1/6 stuff is Mondo. They have it written down on their brown shipper.

Where was the number on the box? There was a ton of those released, available for years afterwards. You can still get them new on ebay.
It's marked on the brown shipper and there is a certificate card also. They were part of the HT 10th anniversary, Beat It MJ and 20th Century Boys was part of it too with the same style cert.

Would have been a nice touch for the Artisan line for sure but it's not surprising that Hot Toys didn't bother.

Someone said they issued 2000 units and then released a lot more without any numbered certificate. Maybe there were only 2,000 in the "double-pack", that's the catch.

I never got one so I don't know but there's just too many Scarecrows and Demon Bats out there for a "2,000 only run".

I just spoke to a gentleman I know at Toy Sapiens in Shibuya, and he told me that HT was a little surprised about the demand for this figure and artisan Anakin, and that since these aren’t individually numbered releases, they can and have said that they’re going to be making/providing additional units.
Obviously I can’t personally vouch for that information, but there’s no real reason for him to mislead me.
So I would urge everyone to do their best to be patient and not pay wild scalper prices for this stuff out of FOMO, he made it sound like HT wants everyone’s money 😂

It says "limited edition: 4000" for Artisan Joker on Sideshow.

Not sure if I'm remembering correctly but I believe Demon Scarecrow was a exclusive for that particular event and then they made more but without the certificate so the certificate is the only thing that is exclusive.:lol

The biggest issues I have with releasing more Artisan is I'm sure a lot of people 'settled' for the sculpted - and the general rule that if you release higher numbers the price should be cheaper. Something HT has never really cared about.

I also worry about overproduction and flooding the market making them virtually worthless should you decide you want to sell. Not from a "scalping" perspective but just a "I don't want this anymore but I would at least like to get my money back" perspective.

Look at all of the figures SS can't give away on huge discounts that people paid full price for. It leaves a bitter taste.
