Alright, I'm in. Won one on eBay for 140 incl shipping, which, I reasoned, would be about the same as what I would have paid had I pre-ordered with SS after tax and shipping. Crappy thing is I missed getting a CC too.... Auction finished at $51 bucks. I had walked away from the computer to do something, came back and saw the last couple seconds tick away. 
I don't think you will regret it. Snake Eyes has a lot of options and is just more fun to pose around than are lots of equally (or more) pricey Hot Toys figures, in my humble estimation.
As for that cape, I don't have an interest in getting one for Klan Cobra Commander, but if helmeted version is released without one, then I will have to pick one up for sure.

It's the same body as Comic book spiderman, and comic book Magneto. That pic REALLY dosn't so it justice, it looks AWESOME in person, though Drake had to do some SERIOUS sanding to make the hot toys/medicom hybrid neck adapter.
As it is, the Krauser head fits the Pro neck adapter just fine.

That's the proper way to look at it. Of course as I wrote about it last night I was still a bit deflated.
The thing is I was really just looking for Snake-Eyes and had stumbled on the CC too, threw a low bid on it since I was already shelling out some cash for SE and realized I had let a golden opportunity slip through my fingers... Intersting though, I did a search for completed SS CC auctions and saw ending prices as follows: 51 (the one I lost), 68,79,56,89,61,66,90,79,76,73,81,82,80,56... goes to show he can be had on the cheap. About 1/3 of those are less than 70, or $20 less than retail through SS.

Was it a reg or ex CC for $51, damn that's a good deal? almost good enough for an extra CC in my collection...

What do you guys think of Snake Eyes with the trooper head?
I actually like it better.

Hard to say without seeing it in person, but I like the cloth version better based on that pic.
I like that the visor seems to position a little better on the Trooper head but I also prefer the uniformity of the cloth head.

I think the cam brings out the difference in blacks and that's why it doesn't look like it would in person.

Honestly, I think your pics look better than a good chunk of those around here (my own included, obviously), you just can't capture some things with the camera, and I'm sure that those intangible qualities make a big difference.
I notice you removed the stock on Snake's Uzi KD. Nice. I did too.
