In your pics the SSC Snowie Commander looks to be at 1/4" to 1/2" taller than the HT Snowie. Is is the difference that great?

In the aforementioned picture from post #553 it looks like the commander is about as tall as the HT snowie standing on the stand.

The SSC stand is lower than the HT one and the two figures aren't side by side - the HT one is further forward making it seem taller.

Yeah, boots on the SS Snowtrooper are better proportionally IMO.

Great comp pic, Momaw.

Though the HT boots are a little foreshortened/shrunken in the pic, they really are a pretty weak effort from HT. I think I said in my original review of the HT Snowie that the boots are almost like high-end Hasbro in both sculpt and paint (they just don't look very convincing) but that being said, they are fine enough. Other than that (and the 11 1/2" height) it really is an amazing figure though.

And also have a more accurate and natural look than the HT ones.

Yeah, I've posted this pic a few times, but it shows that with a little work, the SSC boots can look really good - a noticeable notch above the HT effort..
