I passed on this one. I think the Kotobukiya Unleashed version is better. However, I just checked the Bay and was shocked at the prices!

the koto spidi looks also great (together with the koto venom), but not better than the comiquette.

I just think that swinging easily beats sitting on a wall. That's basically what my review on the other forum was about.

Koto spidey is good but, C'mon?

It is a personally preference thing guys. Also, the koto does look awesome in person, and some of us haven't seen a comiquette in person.

I think they both look great and I have seen them both but my "personally preference" (as Spidey976 so eloquently puts it) is that the Comiquette is much more impressive!

I love the Comiquette Spidey, I'm still not sure which one I like best between this & the Spidey PF. I've never seen either in person unfortunately though
Once I get a Wolverine I'll have Spider-Man high on my to buy list, it'll take 3 months to save up for one on the current ebay market so I'll have to be strict with myself & not start Pre-Ordering anything except things I really want like the Superman PF.

I was originally not a fan of the Com... but I have changed my mind... If SSC doesn't put out a new PF or Com that manages to rival it in say the next 2 or 3 years then I am seriously going to have to consider getting it. That or I will just get IMPATIENT and go for it eventually. In the end though I find the POSE and action of the Koto to be more impressive, but I don't think it would have the same presence as the Com if I had them both in front of me.

I don't think I will go to eBay if I ever get a Com. I have nothing but good experiences on the Bay so far, all two of them ... lol. However, I think I will go with a Freak if I ever get this one.

I own both pieces as well. I agree with you that the Com is the better looking piece and has more presence overall. However, it's a much closer race for me. The Kotobukiya Spidey is an incredible sculpt. It's by far the best statue of Spidey in action. We have never really seen such a dynamic Spidey statue released before. Scale is probably the only reason anyone here would pass on this piece. If the Kotobukiya Spidey was released in 1/4 scale then I think you would get a lot of heated debate as to which is the better statue.

I agree on the "If" with you guys but that doesn't matter 'cause it's not 1/4 so the Com owns it. IMO of course
