love the Spidey box too

It's funny when I see things on here in pictures they always look really small. Like that box to me looks like the size of a standard shoe box but I'm sure it's not at all.

That is one sexy box though :lol

Hurry up Thursday :yess:

Just to put things in scale Steve, if you were to line up the Spidey Com shipper up next to Frodo then the box would reach the top of his head....if that helps :)

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Well, my friend (who also is my LCS owner) finally bought my brother in law's EX Spidey COM. Man, this guy was killing me. He dragged the deal on for a few months before we finally closed the deal yesterday. My brother in law was only charging him $700 for it. When he saw a completed listing on the bay for $1200, he changed his tune quickly and coughed up the cash for it. I hate being a middle man in these scenarios. I could have posted it here for $800 and sold it in a heartbeat.

Oh well, my buddy finally got the Spidey statue he wanted and my brother in law sold his piece. Alls well that ends well. I have to say, I got a HUGE kick out of my friend seeing this piece in person for the first time. He was floored by the greatness of this COM. Needless to say it was $700 well spent.

Nice Roberto! And an EX to boot. Congrats bro. :hi5:

My ones a Reg. A low no though, I think it's 86. Definitely 80 something

Your mate is lucky. A lot of people would of used the ebay listing as an excuse to charge more. 700 bucks for a Spidey CQ is a steal.

The REG on this is more than enough RB. My print is still in the box. You will be more than happy with it, I promise you.

Yeah, my friend was just really dragging his heels. It wouldn't have bothered me if it was my piece. However, since it was my brother in law's and he was waiting on me to complete the deal...it got a little frustrating being caught in the middle. Especially when I know he was getting it for a great price. I mean, who here wouldn't have bought it at that price and thanked me profusely for it? :lol Anyway, it really is a thrill seeing new peeps picking this up. It's one of SSC's very best pieces. It's been out for a few years now and this thread keeps getting bumped by proud new owners of the piece. Just goes to show how phenomenal and in demand this statue really is.

Yeah the amount this thread gets bumped it's like it's a new statue. I know SS are working on a new Spidey of some sorts but I can't see them ever making one better than this.

Like I said 700 bucks is a steal. I managed to pick my one up for 900 & I'm so happy :)

Well now all we need is for Flip to break out another brother in law with another Spidey Com for sale and he will have me thanking him profusely as well.
:hi5:

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

The EXs on the trio sucks. The prints could've been done much better

Yeah, I agree. I didn't pick up Carnage just because I really don't care for the character. My Venom & Spidey prints are still in their box.

Sorry brother, I'm all out of Spidey Coms. The only one I have left is mine. That one has Stan's siggy on it and will never be leaving my collection. I do wish you luck in scoring the Com. It is a very special piece.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

I'm a little confused. I just got into the PF line due to Sideshow releasing so many iconic DC characters this year. The Marvel ones haven't interested me as much as I find their movie likenesses preferable in the Hot Toys 1/6 line. (I mainly collect 1/6) But I love Spiderman and his comic villains... but are there going to be Premium Format versions? Or are they all maquettes?

Maquettes are movie versions, Comiquettes are from comics and I believe in any scale other than 1/4 scale, which then makes it a Premium Format with, or without fabric.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Oh, I thought these were all 1/4 scale. I wish Sideshow would just let us know if they have any PFs planned.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

SquiderM3, THOSE ARE TRULY FANTASTIC PICS MAN.:clap:clap:clap

Now could you do the same for the Rhino comiquette? Or better still, all of the Spidey villians within this line? Again, great work.:wave

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Grats Squider on a great pick up.
Fantastic pictures.
Now all you need is Stan the man Lee signature on the back and you are all set.
