I think i'm gonna be sticking to statues and leaving figures for a while.

1. There's not a whole lot of figure characters/licenses upcoming that interests me.
2. Prices being what they are no longer make it okay to get something based on mild interest or cool factor.
3. There seems to always be a new version along making the current version old and out of date.
4. I don't have the inclination to hunt ones down once the announcement, reveal, pre-order, release and unboxing hype phase has passed, which means it's not the figure itself but the hype experience that i'm buying.
5. There's been ones i would've ordered but left for a bit and i haven't thought of them again, since i don't miss them on my shelf i don't feel the need for them.
6. They feel somewhat temporary, Statues are more long term collectibles that you buy and keep whereas figures can be sold without much feeling of regret and absence.

It's a good idea. Just don't let a figure go by if you see one you do really want! It was my intention to skip over any 12" and just stay with PF's. Then I bought Hawkeye, Cap and BW from HT. So you know, it can happen. However, statues are the head turners, even for myself. I kind have forgotten the rest of my collection exists.
