This is such a weird case where I really hope Sideshow doesn’t blow it because it’s clear why they got the gig in the first place. Honestly, I can appreciate the fact that Clint chose to use his license to raise the profile of an American company (even if it is all made in China) out of his home state of California, but, at the same time, there’s a degree of “Jesus Christ. Of all the gin joints in all the world, you chose to walk into that one?” I would love nothing more than to see final products that matched the prototypes with minimal downgrade and, if that was the case? I’d order all of them. Hands down. No questions asked. The fact that it’s officially licensed Clint merch from the man, himself? If it looked good, I’d pay the 275.

Steep for what it is? Absolutely, but I’d be willing, but while I think SSC’s shown incremental improvement over the years up to stuff like The Dude, I don’t know that I can trust them not to screw the pooch on this one. And they shouldn’t. Because there’s so much potential. The Outlaw Josey Wales, Unforgiven; hell, Every Which Way But Loose.:lol It’s got potential, that’s all I’m sayin’. Charlie Bucket got the golden ticket and it’d be a damn shame if he went and made an *** of himself in front of Willy Wonka.:lol

If this specification on each of Sideshow's Clint Eastwood figures is true...

Product SizeHeight: 12" (30.5 cm) *

...then they've already failed.

CooModel's extra tall body was perfect for prime Clint. That's what I used for my Redmans, and the clothes accommodated it.

There's no guarantee that Sideshow's tailoring will accommodate the extra height, so on top of being Sideshow figures that tend to have dodgy production sculpt paint, they could also be undersized and awkward to get to 1/6.

I have enough reward points burning a hole in my wallet, but I just can't be tempted to buy either The Man With No Name or The Preacher.

Yes, the height of the Clint figures are very important, Clint was a tall dude. I think if Clint was 6'4 back in the day that translates to a 1/6 action figure who should be 12.8 inches high.

He was either 6' 3 1/2" or 6' 4" as he himself claimed. It's about 12.6" in 1/6.

What I liked about the CooModel extra height body was that it was slim, making it good for the tall, lean Clint.

When are these figures being released? Hope SS doesn’t blow it as everyone is saying
Blondie should be out next month or January, Harry should be about the following months of Jan and preacher is probably Q3-Q4. I definitley want to preorder but I want to see actual production images.

Once Blondie is in collector hands, then we will know what to expect for the rest. They have a great opportunity with the Eastwood license, hopefully they realize what they need to do.

Sideshow Blondie distribution is cancelled in europe due to license issues. I had to buy it directly from Sideshow with delivery to usa. Hope they release him before Christmas and its a great figure.

I really hope that with all this Eastwood news/involvement SS goes the extra mile to really impress; not only us, but Eastwood. Sad, that this is hoped and not expected.

What does that mean people in Europe can’t order it anymore?

Yea, it still shocks me that SS uses worse paint factories than even some 3rd party figures. You’d think they would have some connection having not only been in the industry so long BUT with being in business with Hot Toys that they could get into some of the better factories. Or they’re just not trying to as it may cut into more of their profits so saving money with whoever they’re using and taking the profits by using cheaper, lesser quality factories.

There have been all kinds of speculations about SS and overseas factories, HT's involvement, lack of cooperation, their unwillingness to improve, and on and on and on. As an outsider all I can do is speculate, but it does come across that they really don't care. Their prices rival HT's but quality does not. Even their best figures don't come close. I definitely get more satisfaction from a 3rd party figure than one from SS.

The thing is that the Blondie figure cant be sold in Europe due to the license belonging to an Italian company here. I think MGM or United Artists owns the rights in USA. Looks like Sideshow can sell it only in USA and not to other distributors. I ordered the figure with an european distributor and it was cancelled and we were informed about the reason. It looks like it affects only the good, bad and ugly property. I ordered it in Sideshow with shipping to usa, I dont want them to cancel it when they realize It has to be delivered to Spain. I will go to the united states pick it when its released or maybe a friend will bring it to the old continent.

Ah ok probably going to be the same as Blondie, I hope to get both but really do want to be sure they turn out better in hand.

Speaking to them they confirmed the figure will only not be sold to Italy. I live in the UK and they said I should be fine if I order now and same for rest of Europe bar Italy.

Who are "them"? Sideshow?

Uk is not european union anymore. The problem is Sideshow is not selling to european retailers or shops and thats why my item was cancelled. Maybe Sideshow only ships to european individuals?

Or maybe the shoo i bought to has an italian retailer?
