I got a conversion for the first version of dirty Harry I might keep it interesting enough, It’s on pre-order again when I accept the waitlist item. lol 😂

I hope so.

I’m looking at Blondie and Munny close up and I still lean Munny as the better likeness. I really wish they’d done better with mwnn. Next to the others, the facial flaws are even more noticeable.
I agree Blondie has the worst likeness of the bunch unfortunately. It's his most iconic role so I still bought it but I wish it had a better headsculpt.

In his Youtube interview with SixScaleMafia, Fabio Verasi (Kaustic Plastik) mentioned that:

"At the moment the likeness of Clint Eastwood is exclusive of Sideshow."

Therefore Sideshow is the only game in town for licensed Clint figures.

Munny was one of the three figures that arrived earlier today, but I've only just got around to opening them up.

The sculpt is a bit strange. It's mainly the brow that drops so low towards the bridge of the nose, creating the very squinty eyes. He looks better from three quarters or side on, though the brim of the hat creates such a deep shadow that you don't see his eyes unless there's a light shining directly into his face.

I've only taken a few quick snaps but I can tell he's a horrible figure to photograph, as Dean Knight noted in his video review, because the skin and beard texture are so smooth. Photos make it look like a cheap sculpt from years ago.

In hand he doesn't look nearly as bad. The sculpt works pretty well, especially with the shadow from the hat, which you obviously lose when using the camera flash. Though putting him next to Hot Toys' Baylan, who also arrived today, really shows up the difference in sculpting and paintwork.

The hands, and what you can see of his arms, have a weird greenish hue, apart from the knuckles, finger joints and nails which are darker and dirty looking. Gives the impression that he's a zombie. The neck colour also doesn't match the head.

The weapons feel extremely light, and in your hand it barely seems you're holding anything at all. The bottle and glass also look cheap. The bottle in particular has a more matt, almost frosted finish that doesn't sell the idea it's glass. The clothes are the only part that reflect the overall higher quality I was expecting after getting Josey and the Preacher.

And another thing: one of the positives with Sideshow is that every hand has it's own wrist peg, making swapping easy.

Munny's hands all have their own pegs, but pulling them out of the arms is just as difficult as pulling hands off pegs. :gah:

So all three Clints as back up for PO. Blondie, Harry, and Joesy. I got my conversation for Joesy so I want to PO him and then get Munny also. But I also kinda want Dirty Harry and call it a day.

I don't understand how they've made such a great job on the clothing, but seem to have forgotten about the quality of the head sculpt. Munny, IMO, is the worst of the bunch.

One thing Unforgiven has never been is cartoony, and this head is veering into cartoony. I get it, the pickings are slim, but a legacy collection should perhaps show a little more respect to the legacy and not into thw territory of caricature. That's my two cents. It's the only letdown with this figure based on first impressions. Otherwise, I like it. It's fine.

I'd pick up Munny if there was a chance of someone making a better custom sculpt, but I just don't see there being enough interest. Especially when sculptors can make more money off the umpteenth variation of Harrison Ford instead. Lol

Hey, does anyone know someone that makes custom decals for the Hot Toys oval bases? Evil Cheese was my go-to for years, but it's been such a long time since I've bought something from him...and can't find him on here now. I'm really wanting a Pale Rider one with a Preacher nameplate decal.

You're probably thinking of EVILFACE, not Evil Cheese. EVILFACE is still around.
