UNFORGIVEN

Two big holes filled this year for my 90s Best Picture line up. DiD released an incredible John Dunbar / Kevin Coster from Dances with Wolves that won Best Picture in 1990. And later this year I was able to fill in the 1992 Best Picture winner with Sideshow Collectibles Clint Eastwood Legacy Collection William Munny from UNFORGIVEN!

It's still kinda funny to me that 95% of Unforgiven is about upending the myth of the old west and showing the reality of that world and how haunted Munny is by the terrible things he's done... and yet everyone's favorite scene is when he succombs to his alcoholism and becomes a badass killing machine again just like in every other Eastwood western. 😄

Nicely done Rzeznikk! Your pics show how well this figure actually come off when displayed well. There's been a lot of flack about the head sculpt, but I think it's better than the Blondie release, especially in person. I also went all out for DiDs Dunbar and Cisco and couldn't be happier with them. Having the four releases of Clint Eastwood western character figures I'm quite pleased.
I'm impressed with the "Sheriff"office diorama piece. Is this a custom build or is it commercially available? It Really makes the figure stand out!
Bravo!

I just finished a search for and found out that the Sheriff Office was a KP release, and sadly I missed out....bummer! Oh well, that's the nature of the game.
Cheers, all!

That pose with the reolver behind his back is awesome. The hands are perfect too. I love this hobby!

RZEZNIKK… Nice images. Well done.

Thanks guys. He's definitely a bit of a mixed bag and I did what I could to bring out the best of the sculpt. I may look at going the custom route for this sculpt. Or even a quality repaint might help?

As for the diorama, yes it's by Kaustic Plastik. If you can't find one. I'd recommend you check out Rhino Dioramas, I'm sure he could make one for you or something similar to your liking!

Hence, unforgiven.
Great stuff though. Personally glad Eastwood stuck to his guns and never revisited the genre since.

I agree, if someone took this on as a custom sculpt, it would be great. A quality repaint would be a huge improvement as well.

It's an excellent scene. It goes against everything Munny had been trying to do, put his past behind him, but that doesn't matter when someone tortures and kills your friend. He'll do what he needs to in order to avenge him and put down someone that everyone else is too afraid to even stand up to.

I find this is an example of the sculpt looking so much better in real life...

Always wondered what causes that affect?
Difficult to say - I've found the same with taking photos of Blondie and of Arthur Morgan, where they look nothing like they do in real life. I guess it's possible our brains compensate for the scale factor better than a lens.

I think it's lighting, but then why do all pics basically show the same...

Could be scale factor...but why do other sculpts look better when taken with pics..

I am thinking it's the combo of sculpt, camera, and paints...but the scale probably also is in play.
