As a fan of both companies I'm excited!!!Sideshow PF's are obviously the big dogs of the industry,but you cant beat Bowens detail especially to the lesser known characters.I mean he actually takes input from his customers on designing his stuff.

This will be very interesting as I never got involved in Bowen statues before. Now I will get some exposure to this line.

Interesting news but not really a surprise since SS seems to be picking up more and more companies as a distributor. Someone has to move to challenge Diamond as a distributor maybe Sideshow can even pry DC Direct from them.

Randy Bowen just said this over on SF

1. Sideshow has contacted us with regard to distributing our products.

2. They are not our exclusive distributor. We still sell through our standard channels.

3. Nothing is changing. Only that they will be an additional distributor.

4. Our collector club will remain intact, and there are as yet, no plans to create exclusives for Sideshow.

5. BD's QC will remain the same.

6. BD's phz IV has still not been signed by Marvel, and this ditributorship has absolutley no bearing on our relationship with Marvel. It's simply one more avenue for sales.

Bowen has great detail, imagine that on something in the PF scale? That'd be a great piece. If Bowen's Phase IV license doesn't pan through I think its a safe bet you'll see Marvel SSC pieces with Randy Bowen marked as sculptor.

Hmmm, this just seems wrong to me. It doesn't seem like these two companies should mix. It's like they are from two different worlds. Bowen does their thing and Sideshow does theirs. Sideshow should be making more of their own stuff....
