My favorite environment and probably sequence in both book/film.

Ugh........from every angle it looks like a lump of a rock..................bla.............

NEVER liked this one, never will, huge footprint and is just "there"...............

Different strokes for different folks. I've always loved this one and have always loved making out The Fellowships journey through Moria. There really is a lot of detail in this piece when you look it over and hopefully I showed that with these pictures.

I really love all of these pieces, I just don't want to bust open into another avenue of collecting. I'm wide spread enough as it is!

I hear ya. I'm trying to thin out some other licenses that I enjoy a lot but just want a few critical representations. I enjoy having more of Middle-earth in my collection since that's what I love the most.

That's a good thing. I wish I was a bit more like that but I really like the variation. There's so much good stuff between - Star Wars, Marvel, DC, LOTR, Aliens & Robots then you've even got the popcultcha video game and classic stuff. That's a lot of lines!

I think one day I'll eventually make a more defined collection but for now I'm happy to blow extremely sill amounts on everything....

:monkey1 :pfft:

bla...

I don't need a rock to do that!

Wasted space and is just a lump.......

Sad as SSW could have done something else different.....:medic

You gotta do a bit of what makes you happy. Just becareful and smart about it. :rock

Seeing this ruined Dwarven kingdom makes me think that that Weta should do an Erebor environment with all the sweeping staircases and Thror's throne, it would be a great contrast between the two locations.

I'm with ya there. I'd love it if Weta made an Erebor environment. Between just being blown away by how good it looked on screen I thought it would make for an awesome environment.

When I down on collecting I remind myself how glad I am that I don' collect anything superhero related. I have a hard enough time keeping up with LOTR and Star Wars, have let the former slip a bit in the last year as I started pursuing SW PFs and 1:6 scale, plus added a Conan PF EX, Sano Alien, and two Indiana Jones PFs to my collection. I figured I was done with some licenses, but am now eying an Alien Big Chap maquette to go with my Sano piece. Ah it never ends.

I do like the Moria environment and own it myself.

I've got a few superhero items but that I think could eat oneself much more so than collecting things from Middle-earth. It's my favorite thing in world and thankfully the easiest to collect.

Great pics Josh. When I look at that I don't see "hunk of rock" I see a fantastic recreation of a fantastic sequence from the film.

Thanks! :hi5: Thats what I see as well when I look at it. To cant trek the entire journey but you can for a decent part of it.

Ignoring those posts from that fellah who has no appreciation for art, how much detail can you fit into one sculpture?? And all those tiny intricate staircases.... and how can you NOT be impressed by the Dwarrowdelf pillars and the patterns on the floor?

Also....

RETURN OF THE DOILY!! :yess:

That kinda sums you up really.... only noticing the outside and not seeing that it's what is on the inside that counts ;)

ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Quite honestly I have some real nice moss rock in my back yard with better detailing!

Quit jumping to conclusions there little fella, I have seen works of art from all over the world and this lump of plastic rock is FAR from that! :cuckoo: :slap :( :medic

Now go and get some glasses!!!! :nana:
