It will be interesting to see what the value of these "first run" SS/Weta statues go for in say,,,,, 20 years. Who knows how big this company will be then.

Of the 14 statues I lack, all are in the very pricey range still and likely out of my reach for the rest of my collecting life. I shelled out the big bucks for Daddy Rog and Wiki last year; those are the only two I wanted bad enough to pay uncomfortably large sums for. The two statues I don't have that I really wish I did have are Moria Orc Swordsman and Sam/Bill. Cave Troll, Bilbo, Aragorn, Frodo and the others I don't have - well, if they ever cross my path at double retail or below, I'll pick them up, perhaps. But other things that I've put off the past few years while paying for Sideshow / WETA stuff now demand that my attention be turned to them.

If SS brings back the 1/6 poly line, like rumour has it the value will go back up. The problem now is thw 12 inch line and the PF line are hurting the WETA stuff.

I think that when the Hobbit is made the value will increase pretty much!

As long as they finally make it, it won't matter to me what affect is has on the value of my collection.

Bring it on!
