How is Flex pay actually useful? I've always wondered that, you just end up splitting it up into payments that end when the product ships, you could just order like normal and pay the same amount when it ships and you'll have the same result. It's not like it gives you extra time
It actually does depending on how you use it.
First Scenario: Flex allows small payments taken per month which can be easily budgeted in. Many times I've saved for something only to have the money burn a hole in my pocket and then being caught with my pants down at time of shipping. This way my piece is safeguarded from being nailed by a good deal and then regretting it later.
Second Scenario: I keep the piece ordered normally, it is shipping and I can't afford it. I tell SSC to go Flex and it gives me three more months (usually) to get the piece without canceling it out right.
If you can save the money more power to you but realistically but there are a lot of collectors like me who get tempted by that piece you pasted on and suddenly pops up for a good deal and you bite.
