So I finally managed to pop open my Sidious' walker and found that 1. the compartment was almost glued shut and 2. I have no batteries included. So Im off to the store to get some.. but did anyone elses not have the batteries?

No batteries huh? Well my Mechno-chair's nice tight joints finally gave out, so Sidious is going back, I'm just not happy with this thing overall, it was a cool idea but it was poorly made. After spending all that $ I just wish someone at sideshow tested this guy out before shipping. I hope they still honor my return, and I wonder how many of him went back. :monkey4:emperor

Yeah, I plan on contacting them today as well. No matter what I do (short of gluing, which I refuse on principlel) he just wont stand. So off he goes... too bad because besides the standing issue its a really cool looking piece :monkey2

The legs on mine are fairly sturdy.. for now :lol After all the issues I've had Id rate him a 2.5 outta 4 simply because of the expected issues, lack of batteries and possibly glued on cover.

Yeah, just too many issues for such a pricey figure. Once I get my RPA, off he goes!:monkey2

I'll be waiting for my return slip as well :monkey2 Kinda bummed but I'd rather have something I enjoy than a piece that is a let down.

Mine not only didn't have batteries but when I bought some and put them in it didn't work. Not to mention the chair legs won't support the weight for crap. I've been waiting over 2 weeks for a RPA # from Sideshow.

When I spoke to them today I was told it would be at least two weeks since they were backed-up right now. I know I've got my return logged so I'm not too worried about it.

That sucks guys... Mine seems pretty good, so I guess I should count myself lucky.

Fairly stiff legs
Compartment cover is fine
Batteries intact
Light works (appears to be the white variation)

Here's a couple crappy pics - lol!

Not a good sign to be backed up with returns. What does that tell you?

Not sure if it was just returns or other things as well... but with all the recent orders and shipments that have gone out I figured its a busy time.

But I could imagine a number of these are being returned, since the weak legs is a pervasive issue.

I wonder if the wobbly legs can be prevented by standing him up on something more pourous than a table top.

I like him too much to return him if a solution can be applied.

He actually stands just fine on a surface that isn't slick. Mine stays up just fine on the carpet but once I put him on any of my display shelves or glass he falls right over.

Really late to the party I know but I finally received the chair a couple of weeks ago and my computer has been acting up with reading my digital camera's memorystick-- long story short (too late) I really like this one and here are some pictures.

Ciao.:emperor

I.... like many others have had problems with the Holo chair standing on its own weight.

Well, after having mine resting on a clear film case.I finally came up with something that works great for me and I thought I would share.

Basically I took the Hasbro jedi training remote stand (since i'll have a replacement when SS Ben comes) cut it to size, carefully drilled the bottom of the chair to fit what is now technically a dowl.

Now there is better weight distribution without the worry of him taking a dive.

Sorry about quality of pics.

What do you think?

It's a workable solution--and I like that it's transparent. I still wish that the chair's legs could have been built to stand up properly on their own without any fuss.

Nice idea but I too prefer that it stand up on it's own. Mine is due to arrive tomorrow and I'll check to see if it's got the same problem. If so, then it'll be a dab of super-glue and be done with it.

Yeah...I would agree standing on its own is the best, However gluing the legs would solve the problem of the leg movement, but does not solve the problem of the weak plastic for the two hind feet.

When you get yours you will see what I mean.

The nice little arch that the feet have in the rear will almost go completly flat (over a few hours time) when the weight of the hologram is added.:monkey4

I hope you have better luck with yours....:D

My Holo Sid arrived yesterday and so far so good with those legs holding up the surprisingly heavy holo piece. It's presently displayed on glass, which I've heard makes it tough for the legs to hold still. I really like this piece alot. I find it really impressive and just plain cool.
