I do hope we get a cackling sidious version down the line, maybe a ROTJ or ROTS Exclusive, really didn't expect the first to be all that animated...

Would be cool but it would really limit the figure pose wise.

For Sidious, I think he should have either been smiling or angry. The absolute poker face is too stagnant. That's why I wish they offered head packs for the popular characters. I want an emotional Bespin Luke damn it!

Hey, what do you guys think of this? Too much? If we could get one angry and one smiling ROTJ emporer head sculpt, I think it would be perfect. Two heads with one figure.

I'm with you. Palpatine/Sidious had the greatest contrast/duality in the first two films.

I stand corrected. While I expected them to be from Ep I or II, that means we would've ended up with two of the same figure, just with different outfits.

I know, and it works in context of the film... but it would look too kindly as a figure. Remember the Hasbro "smiling" Sidious?

I'd go for angry, or sneering, or teeth bared like when he's shocking Luke. Something like that. But I'm sure we'll get a sinister straight-faced Sidious Emperor when the time comes.

But I know Les or Josh will make a "cackling" Sidious for all of us.

I'm holding judgement until will see his face more clearly next week, but he looks a little passive to me. The eyes will make all the difference.

That's a great Joker sculpt.

I was just thinking back to like a year ago when we had those polls going for "What Palpatine would you want" and the clear winner was 'red robed' Palpy... and we got him. That alone is cool.

The Sidious looks to be the 'Yoda Fight' one, which I think was everyone's choice for Sidious (not counting the Emperor). Hard to tell though if that's really the fur collar. Looks like it though.

The Sidious head looks just like when he says "master Yoda--you survived" and all that jazz. I like it. The bust is way too much for me, and too cartoon like. I really, really love this pack.

I can accept a neutral facial expression as long as his eyes are orange. Personally, neutral goes a lot further than emotional. Especially with the way that most of these sculpts seem to have several emotions hiding in their poker faces.

At first, the Palpatine portrait was a disappointment, but second look shows that it's just heavy-handed paint similar to Bespin Luke. I wonder...are they trying not to do such a stellar job on the solitication protos because people kept complaining that the production runs never lived up to them??

Honestly, this set is a definite must-have!!

But does anyone else think the red robes are cut incorrectly? I'm referring to the part that drapes over Palpatine's shoulders. They look too straight and the material doesn't quite match the film.
