Wow... Talent like yours is hard to come by, your replacement at Sideshow will have a hard time trying to match your craftsmanship.

I still have those Abbott and Costello heads waiting for you to paint up when you are ready for them.

I was an outside vender anyway, and I was given the impression that there's plenty of us wanting to paint for Sideshow.

Man ... as a longtime lurker on this thread and a big fan of your work, I gotta say, that's seriously a shame. Sideshow's loss, for sure. :lecture

(On the up side ... I've got a bunch of unpainted heads I'd love to turn over to your magic brush. So I shall be watching your sig with great interest ...)

Oh my goodness !
I am alittle late in finding out the bad news Nathan.
That is freaking screwed up! I thought for sure you would be with sideshow till you were a wrinkled up old man. That just goes to show how stupid they are for letting you go. Maybe we should boycott them.
Mike

Sideshow dropped you!?!?!?! What the hell?

Did they feel that your awesome protos far exceeded the final product? *********! Thats why Sideshow will never be the industry leader

It's good to know how many friends and fans I've got on the forum. You guys rock. I always did my best work for Sideshow because I knew I was really doing it for all the collectors like you guys.

And that is what I will continue to do directly for all of you. They won't just be products, but actual works of art.

Old and wrinkled was my hope, but perhaps I have escaped some of the limitations of joining a so well established company. Once again, my sky is the limit.

:lolI appreciate the sentiment of boycotting, but no need to do that on my account. I myself might find alternate avenues for collecting, but if they make something awesome that I just need in my collection, I'll still buy it. There are many things I've worked on yet to be revealed that are must haves for me no matter what happens on a personal level. There's some killer ____ coming.

Oh no. :nono My contract of not revealing confidential materials stands. Lawsuits aside, I wouldn't want to make myself look like a spiteful prick.:wink1: I try to be an open and honest guy, but I've never been the kind to hold a grudge, so I'm not going to try to screw Sideshow over even if I feel screwed over.

With all the support I'm getting from you guys, I'm just gonna move on.

I suspected as much, but wasn't sure if you thought they would see it that way. Understood :)

Hey Nathan, I too am really sorry to hear what happened. I've been a fan of your skills for as long as I've been a member of the boards and first scrolled through your thread. I have no doubt that many opportunities will be opening up for you.

Sorry to hear that Nathan. Having met you in person and seen your painting skills, they are losing out.
Could it be that their problem is managerial and *GASP* a product of their office culture?

I think a lot of us have been feeling this way about Sideshow's management, QC, and art directors. My personal opinion is that they are arrogant and don't think anyone else's ideas or thoughts matter. I sure as hell feel like they are losing touch with their fan base in some areas and if they don't watch out, other companies are going to fill that hole. ESPECIALLY if they lose more artistic talent to competition.

Sorry to hear that since they hired me as the new painter. I felt bad at first when they said they wanted their proto's to look as bad as their production ones. :)

:lol:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:lol

I'll take that challenge.:hi5:
