I was at the afternoon show and it was nearly sold out - lots of single women with hardly any straight men in sight.

I swear that I've never seen this theatre that crowded at this time of the day and I saw Iron Man and Indy there. And I've never seen a theatre crowd so disproportionately made of women. When the credits started there was a noise which I thought was coming from the screen, but was actually the walla walla of the huge female crowd.

Edit: and the movie wasn't nearly as painful as I expected it to be.

I didn't think there were that many. This thing is on pace for a 70 million weekend. That is insane for an R-rated chick flick.

I see every new release film in the theatre and I respect Sarah J P for Square Pegs and marrying Ferris Beuller. I'd seen the show off and on when it aired on HBO and thought it was okay.

But this was definitely a freaky phenomenon - not only that it was so crowded, but that it was 90% women.

BUT, if you watched it with your Wife/GF, you are exempt. I had to... and a Friend of mine Directed one of the early Eps so I had to watch that too.
