Re: Ski's GI JOE Customs etc...

Looking good Dave! Can't believe you got crackin' on Serpentor already! :rock

What are you using to sculpt with right now anyway?

I got bored last night looking at the head and I was like what the hell, let's give this a go.

Pretty much man :rock

Plus I need to sand and cut some blades for Nemesis and my dremel tool is very loud so I didn't want to wake the neighbors :lol

So I swapped my work to something else.

Re: Ski's GI JOE Customs etc...

Self drying? How long do you have before it starts to set?

Nah it's heat drying, the over works best at liek 225-250 fahren but for some other items attached it might be lower since you want to be careful and not melt other items.

For straight heads, wings, parts I crank it to 250 and about 5-7 minutes and I can add to the sculpt and refire on the firm for another 5 minutes to adhere to what I've all ready sculpted.

A blow dryer works but not as well and sometimes if the sculpey or firm is not hardened quiet enough the paint won't have a dry finish because I believe it mixes with the oils and it's not aloud to fully dry and remain sticky.
