The 4+ is not like a movie rating. It's about whether it's physically safe for a kid to play with or whether they might choke on something and die from it. It should just say that. This toy will not kill you but it may make you want to become a scantily-clad space slave. Walking dead figures are also 4+ and those have disemboweled zombies, but again, nothing that's gonna kill a kid.

EDIT: Ha, I take it back. The "bungee guts" one I was thinking of actually says 13+, but the regular characters still have the regular "not safe for kids 3 and under" etc.

That's a good point. Walking Dead stuff is everywhere, but people don't complain. But that's a U.S. form of puritanical behavior. In France, parents wouldn't blink an eye at Leia, but might take real issue with Walking Dead stuff.

That Slave Leia has been clogging shelves for like two years. It took this long for someone to get pissed:lol

That's a pretty drastic measure. All the nerd rage aimed his way for being dumb, plus the fact it's viral and now everyone knows what a puss he is. I'd have just bought the darn things and donated them. :lol

Im sure this loser lets his daughters watch The Kardashians to.. but seeing a toy in a "slave" outfit aka bikini accurate to the movie is just such an outrage.

Im going to complain about Barbies wearing bikinis now to, its the same thing according to this nutty attention freak.

It's always funny to me when people get upset about someone being upset. It's a non-story and nothing will come of it that affects SSC or HT, so meh.

Wow, the land is going down the toilet and people want to ***** about a figure?! Now that's some serious reporting there.....

It was either "furor" or "debacle"... with "dust up" a distant third.
("Brew ha-ha" wasn't even considered)

..and yes, "Enrich your word power" is the first thing I turn to in Readers Digest.

You're dating yourself with the Readers Digest reference.

You knew this would come now that Disney owns it. Sanitizing the past like banning the Confederate flag.

No that's different... The Confederate Flag is an actual social issue. Leia dressed as a concubine in an iconic film scene is popular culture - Especially because she ends up being an empowered woman by rising up and defeating her captor. The Confederate Flag is basically a barely socially acceptable Nazi flag. It's literally the symbol that was used by white people to fight for their rights to keep their African slaves...

Could not agree with you more. It's only taken 150 plus years for people in this country to finally wise up to that about that pathetic, disgusting flag. Put them in a museum. Not flying over government buildings.
