You're welcome.

He's also done quite a few Star Wars illustrations, including a limited Han/Chewie print for the latest Celebration, and covers to some recent Dark Horse Star Wars comics.

Here's his official site.

I've been a fan of his for awhile now. His Wonder Woman and Catwoman covers are the best.

It would seem that slave Leia is a natural for a PF, and I don't mind the repeat this soon at all.

However with all the photo references why would they need Hughes to come up with concept drawings for it? Seems a bit strange.

Love Hughes art. He certainly likes to leak info or can't help himself. He also showed concept drawings for the upcoming 1/4 scale maquettes including Emma Frost, Black Cat and MJ.:monkey5

Perhaps Sideshow is looking for the proper pose to place her and they are turning to Adam to conceptualize it for them, along with whatever sparse environment they she will come with (she can't come with Jabba throne, can she?). Some companies make the mistake of placing Slave Leia, given the nature of the costume, in a seductive pose... forgetting that she is still a SLAVE and is being held against her will. On the other hand, most reference photos of Carrie in the costume are rather dull and undramatic.

Maybe they are looking to find some middle ground between the two... making the pose exciting but not too exciting. :monkey3 :monkey3 :monkey3

Yeah, I always think it's weird to see Slave Leia portrayed as being aroused/turned on. She has been captured and publicly stripped half naked and chained to a giant slug--that would not turn me on at all. I remember her in the movie being grossed out and disgusted with the situation more than anything. It's a degrading and humiliating thing for a princess to endure. Now we may think it's sexy, but if Leia is protrayed as enjoying it and being aroused or excited by her situation then it's not accurately portraying the character in context. They have to walk a line between capturing something from the movie and something from our fanboy imagination.

i dont remember slave leia looking excited...more pissed if you ask me.
i was excited though..:monkey4 ..not sure why :monkey3
id like to see ss do her in a standing up pose when she was preparing to
jump from barge to barge..a very empowering scene for a woman.:D

Weird, that girl looks a lot like my ex.

Did you see her Shaak Ti outfit?
I think I'm in love.:inlove :inlove :inlove

I going to be very blunt and tactless here: would you have sex with her in that Shaak Ti outfit? Would you really? Who would you be?

I think the only time I've done that was several Halloween's ago -- I was a pirate and she was Marie Antoinette. Oh yeah, and a long time ago there was this "squaw" too.

Obviously, because Sideshow has seen Gentle Giant's Slave Leia statue and wants to out-do its sexiness. And the best (and probably only) way to do that would be to enlist the services of one Adam Hughes.

My first thought was the same.

He's a great artist when it comes to drawing women but why would SS need to hire him?

Plus given that all of the PF so far have been very accurate to the screen actors, he's the last artist I would hire to do Leia.
I don't think it's even possible for him to draw a woman that doesn't have DD breasts and hips like a mountainside.

I like the GG statue and the liberties it's taken with making Carrie Fisher look waaay more voluptuous than she was in Jedi but I'd rather see SS make her look more like she did in the film.

It would be my first PF figure for sure.

I too will be blunt, YES!!! Did you not see the pics of her in the Leia outfit? A hottie is still a hottie, even if she's dressed as Shaak Ti. She has a pretty great Asajj outfit as well.

I didn't follow any links, just in case anything might send up a work-flare, but I got the same sense of wofford, that this was just some story to create publicity and a feeling of being "special", for whatever that is worth on the internets. But, I also work with some people who pathologically lie, so I am sensitive to some tall tales that almost seem plausible, and may be overly cautious. Good news if SS makes a PF Slave Leia, especially in a combative pose, given the lack of "sexiness" of the situation as described by tom!

heh, I always wondered how women would want to dress up in skimpy attire, much less as Slave Leia. Nevertheless, I thought the Slave Leia who hanged around SDCC this year looked hotter than this person. Anyone have a pic of that one? It's just too bad her Dad was mulling around as well.

Hmm . . .if SS can make an Elektra PF, then a Slave Leia would be a no-brainer. Still, that GG statue will be hard to beat. Personally, I liked GG's SLave Leia look than the current Leia PF. And I'm talking the face (ok, so the rest of the package can easily sway one quicker). I'm not sure if SS would make her braided hair out of poly or not.

I've edited some posts here - there's no point in being rude.

I don't care to speculate why anyone posts anything on the internet, but just that fact that people publish anything anywhere can be just wanting to share common interests more than anything else.
