i'd be interested to know too. probably fell apart once they inundated themselves with other projects. hopefully they're just waiting for a lull in their schedule. 2012 saw so many big movies, it wasn't a good year for their smaller licenses. maybe we'll see all those long overdue things next year. still hoping for elias and smooth criminal MJ too.

Avengers and batman happened.

Not that I'm complaining, mind you:lol

Figured Id see this response.

And then Avengers 2, Thor 2, Ironman 3, Captain America 2....Kind of makes me feel sick inside. Yes I am complaining!

^^^Yeah unfortunately getting real tired of them all now actually. :lol

That's where the dough is though. :lol

I don't see them concentrate on the other licenses currently as its not moving so fast compared to these comic stuffs. Just look at Sweeney Todd etc, most of em are still available and in some cases below retail.

Yeah I know and its unfortunate really. I mean I have Cap, Thor, Mark VII, Hulk, DX11 and 12 on order, but then am tapped as far as comic characters go. If it wasnt for DX07 and the announced BTTF stuff I think Id be moving on from HT.

I feel like they are spinning their wheels with these licenses.

I need more classics to keep my interest.

Thought there was finally some news :( There was nothing in SDCC about him either, am I right?

Still hoping that they might release Edward again.

Would love to see Wonka and Mad Hatter too! Wishful thinking.

One of the few prospects keeping me in this hobby.

Truth. Hopefully when all that settles down we can come back to Depp.

Yep really hoping for an Edward Scissorhands DX some time down the line.

I bet this got scraped seeing how poor the Sweeny Todd sold.

I wouldn't be surprised if it did get scraped along with any other potential figures besides Jack Sparrow. BBTS I think had Sweeney Todd as low as $130-$150 and it still didn't sell out.

I have some slight hope that he will be teased or revealed around Spooktakular

Basing potential figures off Sweeney sales would be an idiotic gesture for HT. Theres many other Depp characters that I like better than Sweeney, most notably, Edward Scissorhands.

Now if Sparrow didnt sell I could see a reason to be alarmed.

I can't imagine Edward Scissorhands not being a big hit. The visual interest of the character alone would put him on collectors shelves.

But...William Blake has guns.

Guns >>>>>>>>> scissors.

Disagree.

Peruse the "show your shelves" forum and compare the number of figures you find with guns to those that have scissors as hands. You will see where people's collections are laking. Of course the response to that is that people clearly love guns...

I just think the leather, straps, buckles, and blades of Edward make for kick-ass character design and they need to be in every collection.

Just came across this, and thought it was pretty awesome:

I wanted to write that guns are better than scissors. How often does anyone say that?

I'm a pioneer.

(And yes, that drawing is very cool, but it still doesn't make me want an Ed figure.)

Among Ichobod Crane, Sweeney Todd, and Edward Scissorhands, I think the latter would be the most visually appealing as a figure.
