Wow, Josh! this is something else! Do I detect a new colour in there? A kind of violet/purple colour? I thought I also saw it a bit in Sideshow Premium Format Rocketeer too? I love the way you paint eyes! Your skills have gone off the chart.

Thanks for the comment. Yes you are right there are various shades of blues and violets mixed in with the flesh tones. You would think painting sculpts is pretty simple but there are always new things to try and add to each portrait. :peace

amazing work, how the heck you get so much detail in the eyes is a mystery to me, my tries at eyes are pityfull purely pitifull

Eyes can be the most frustrating part of painting a sculpt. Trying to get them aligned with each other can be a challenge especially if the eyes themselves are not sculpted symmetrically. I usually like to use small brushes and alot of patience. :lol Walt's eyes were tough because I had to work under the lip of the eyelid. :gah: If you ever need any tips or help let me know. :peace

Unfortunately there arn't many pictures floating around. I had only taken an in progress picture of him before I sent the prototype back to Sideshow. Once they received it they pretty much painted right over what I had done and thats what you guys saw in the official pictures from Sideshow. When they had sent it to me to paint it was all in seperate pieces then assembled in shop. I would love to have another go at it at some point however it may be a bit hard since the arms and legs are attached along with the hat. I also think it had a better likeness to Ford then the previous premium format Jones.

Here is the latest. Trevor's Lawrence of Arabia Peter O'toole sculpt.
I wanted him to have a bit of the sun burnt look to his face.

____ me sideways... I know its a larger scale than 1/6; but the amount of fine detail in that iris is staggering. I'd love to know just a brief run down of how you did that?

I can't imagine all the work that would have gone into that eye :google

Here is alittle project I just got done with. Hot Toys Joker with a repaint and hair mod. Im sure you have seen the factory sculpt. It had a pretty nice paint job but it had the hair which came over the ears. When posed with his hat off it can look a bit goofy. I gave him a trim/resculpt and a nice repaint to match the colors closer to the movie. The PERS had to be completely removed and then put back in to paint this guy. Not an easy task but I figured out a way to do it pretty quick.
