Play used to be amazing for their low prices now they are 1 of the worst. That said always keep an eye out for a cheap bargain when it comes to clearance time.

Well it has fuelled my love of droids even more!!! started an R5-J2 for me. I did one a while back for a chum and always said I would do another one.

I may have missed something Dorgs , but where do you keep getting the droids from ? I've tried a dozen times to get my hands on 'em on ebay , but never had any luck . ( They never go cheap either !)

Guess I am just a we bit lucky. I have been buying them for what seems like years! I never pay more than £10 for an R2 and £15 for an R5. But when I was buying them folks did not seem to want them. I was also given 3 or 4 R2-A6 droids by Deathstalker for some stuff I did for him. Cbob also gave me a couple a while back. I dread to think how many astromechs I have got.... more than stormies thats for sure.

So you leave them in a little box with some strong oil and a Haynes manual and ..... Six weeks later. Bang a little astromech is born !

Why must you take such nice photos of your stuff man? You make that C-3PO figure all the harder to resist! It does look nice, but I'm going to see if I can hold a bit longer for that one - since Greedo is on the way soon!

Just bought a few MIB for $14.99 each on the bay. Funny how some guys are asking $35-40 for them. Now I can get to work! Still working on the R4 head Mark!

Right just wanted to take a mo to wish every one a massive happy Chuffmas and thank everyone for every thing this year... I am not going to go off on one of my loved up rambles about the boards and folks and stuff but I will say a massive thanks to every one for the support a few months back when I had that stroke and for all the comments and I really think that this hobby and you guys have helped me recover much quicker. I know I still have a way to go but next year looks very promising.

I wanted to do a retrospective on the year and review some of the stunning custom jobs that folks have done but to be honest there are so so so many.

I do want to say a couple of big ol thanks to two folks in particular... cbob and chakaman.... both you guys have really been amazing and I can not thank you both enough for keeping me sane when I was in hospital and keeping me insane when I was out. One of the highlights of this year has been the birth of mini-chakaman... we will be watchin his future very closely.....

YES...Merry X-mas Mark and best wishes for 2011.....I really enjoy checking out the stuff you get done from scratch...although I am not dishing out new SW stuff weekly I do love SW and keep checking for all of that cool new custom SW stuff....
