Hummm not to happy with want to get some matt varnish I think.

I will cast another one up tomorrow and give it another go I think.

So glad I chopped the neck it makes a massive difference. Ben is one off my favs... he just needed a wee drop of padding and away we go.

Yeah, I love the Liquitex matte varnish. Does wonders.

The only problem is my painting is shocking. I have never painted anything since I painted a Spitfire model when I was 10!

I see TA have a few Ben Pieces I could possibly use.

Well thats a hell of a start Jay... Vader is top as is the emp! The angry head sculpt totally rocks!!

I have cast up a few Old Ben heads to have another play...

Get em Jay!!! the trousers are not important as you dont see em. The brown top may be harder to track down. The boots can be any old boots which can be painted up. The Jedi robe... may take some time to track down, and the belt will not be to tough...

Unfortunately I could only get the Normal Emperor so no Angry head scuplt for me :-( (I got him for £55 delivered in the Forbidden Planet sale).

I have my eye on a jedi outfit on ebay but its Hasbo not SS but it looks ok. Comes with Outer Robe, under-robe, boots, belt and sash.

I'll grab the SS stuff from TA too as I'm ordering an MG42 for one of my Stormies from there this week.

Hopefully I can get that, I'll have to try to source a sabre too.

Do you supply painted heads and how do you attach them on to the body?

I am sure I can paint you up an angry emp and sort you with an old ben Jay... and there are loads of different ways of attaching them all the guys on here will help you out mate.

I would not worry to much about the hasbro ben stuff the only thing that will really be useful is the brown vest Jay. Just get the inner robe and sash from TA and some german marching boots from cb collectables on ebay, Claire is a top seller and does good prices.
