You said you like games workshop paints, but what do you like using as a primer? When using enamels I like Gunze Sangyo Mr. White Surfacer, but acrylics don't hold to it as well.
I use car primmer... red or grey... but I have started to not prime them... but give em a good was in soapy water then a thin watered down wash of beastial brown... with a tiny drop of washing up liquid.
The paint does ware off, especially on the hair but I have just got tome purity seal which is like a matt varnish. I am gonna give that s go.
as for the Phase one Bly... he looks the same doesnt he? apart from the bucker and different shape and colour frock
Looks like phase one Bly is the same but no darker yellow and looks like one stripe down the front of the bucket and mohawk thing. As well as a stripe down the front of the chest armor. Let me look up some pics see what I could find.
few shots of Bly.... getting there but I dont think I will get it done in time for Marys birthday.....
Just did a wee undercoat on the little packs and then realised that I have got to paint up the back of the helm mustard colour tooo ARSE BISCUITS!! then gloss the visor
Beautiful!! Thats it im turning my phase one into a phase one Bly! Do you prime or anything before painting? Or just hit it with a mat clear coat when finished?
