Im about to mod my DX Luke as well. How much did you chop from the thighs?

I'm also cooking up a SNOWSPEEDER pilot Luke as well. Can you post your recipe?

the luke pilot is very simple....

just cut Luke down to 29.2 cm (he is 1.75m tall)
Tomy X-wing helm
HT luke BD head
Hasbro x-wing jump suit
Hasbro x-wing chest box
Sideshow luke cerimonial jacket painted orange
Hasbro hoth luke collar painted
Hasbro x-wing knee strap
HT luke boots
SS luke belt with holster removed
Marmit ATAT cast gloves.
Vest??? can not remember... temp till I can make one

How did you shorten the thighs? Just dremel out a section and glue them back together?

mark, awesome job but i was wondering if there would be enough room in the jumpsuit to add another layer of some type clothing or body suit that would make it more bulky? seems i remember that outfit as a bit more insulated looking............afterall it was rather cold on hoth........

Yeah I bulked out the bottom with some Chris Redfield underpants but I think I am going to pop some extra slack on him to really bulk it out..

As for the thighs... well a band saw is great.. or a hack saw or a meat clever.....

This is my prefered method

If Luke is 1.75m which equals 5.74 ft or 5'8" shouldn't his 1/6 scale height be 11.33 in or 28.77cm not 11.49in or 29.2cm? Just a hair over 11 1/4 inches at 11 5/16in not 11 1/2in.

Just wanted to be sure cause he stands at about 11 3/4in or 29.84cm now.

Yeah I have done Luke hoth he was not great... As soon as I can afford another Luke head I will redo him.. I can find some pics and repost him.... I have also reworked the the hoth pilot and padded the suit and stuff... I will post pics when I get up

Quick update on my Lukes... heavily padded Luke out...

This is my Hoth Luke but he is a big ol pile of pants the the mo....the jacket, body warmer and hat all need reworking LOTS....
