That's his personal list. Maybe that blaster or the character of Luke means more to him than they do to you. I would place Jango's helmet higher, but that's my personal list. However, after the way they neutured Grevious in the movie (no way that's the same Sith wannabe who killed 5 Jedi, then bested Shaak Ti and her companions ... Obi should at least have had a tougher time disarming 4 lightsabers... )

I know it seems I am trying to be a smarta## every time I reply to your post Evi, but its a coincidence... really :monkey3

Finally, someone who feels the same way about GG in ROTS as me. I have a new best friend. :D

How does Lukes blaster rank higher than OB1's? OB1 actually used it to kill, Luke just pointed it and instantly lost it.

Honestly, the blasters are all the same to me. They are neat but not something that I will choose to display with the figures.

As far as Grievous goes the movies don't go a great job of showing how cool the character was/is. Obi-Wan is one of the greatest Jedi we know and his fighting skills rank among the best as well so I don't think there is a problem the way Obi-Wan took out Grievous. Obi was a thinking mans Jedi and used his brains as much as he did his fighting skill.

I just ranked the Luke blaster higher on my list because of the whole Jabba diorama setup and desire many (or at least me) will have to set up their Jabba throne room confrontation that way. And cause it's an image I saw a bizzilon times as a kid on the marketing materials -esp on the ROTJ lunchbox. :D If SS makes a 1/6 Grevious then Obi-wan's blaster will serve better for a display therefore raising it's rank a notch or two on my list. Same for Anakin's hologram if SS makes a Comander Cody. Till then, the blasters/hologram are just something that sit beside the figs on a shelf or in the box.

EDIT: Actually, it's because it gives Luke a better visual arc to his character. From ANH to Jedi, he gradually moves from using a blaster predominantly to mainly using a lightsaber - a visual cue to his initiation story. The blaster he forces pulls to use on Jabba is the last time Luke uses a blaster, signaling his deeper connection to the Force and maturing as a Jedi Knight. Also the Kenner fig came with one - a retro shoutout is hella cool. :p

I think the Mynock is worth $12 if you plan on displaying him with the air mask on. If you plan on displaying him without the mask then I don't think it's that important. Either way, I do think that it is a cool exclusive.

I think if you watch the Clone Wars cartoons you get a better feel for how cool the GG character was. I think there was just too much going on during ROTS to really do him justice... but he's really cool in the CW series!

The Mynock is like a whole other character unlike an exclusive weapon or clothing accessory. I definitely think it's worth it.
But it's not one of those accessories that complete a character that are can't miss items like Qui-Gon's Poncho or the Maul's damaged saber. If you really need to save the $12 for something else, then go for the regular version.

The mynock is the coolest exclusive they've done for Star Wars yet. And he's HUGE! This is like a 6 inch mynock! I think if they continued with exclusives as cool as this that all the sW figures would sell out even faster than they do already.

While the Mynock is really cool, I'm actually most jazzed about the Kenner-style staff they are including with Bib. I've been hoping that Sideshow would give some nods to the old vintage figures!

How funny, today I was looking at Bib on SS site and was thinking the EXACT same thing! I really happy with this exclusive. Definitely a must have with Bid, unlike some others that have been so-so.

I too felt the same way with GG from ROTS. It's as if he was emasculated. I mean, c'mon, just because Mace affected his heart and affected his ability to breathe properly (note the asthma sound he makes when ROTS starts out), I think for people who haven't seen Clone Wars, GG should have been more menacing. Otherwise, how do you justify him wiping out a whole bunch of Jedis at once in Clone Wars???

Back on topic . . .only Jedi Luke is the one I didn't care about getting an Exclusive on. Everyone else's exclusives seem to ring well with their characters.

Finally!? I think we far outweigh those that liked him. :emperor

I really think that the mynock not only looks really cool but its like a figure on its on. True its not a true character but its just as important as the creatures that are in Jabbas creature pack. Plus if you dont want it displayed with your collection place it on your fridge as really cool magnet.

No, I did like him.. design was amazing, he kicked major ass in the cartoon. I realize that, in the cartoon, Mace FUBARed him rather bad. However, Obi-Wan still should have had some trouble with him. The only time he looked at risk was at the end hanging from the edge of the cliff. So, basically, a creature that defeated 2 experienced Jedi (and they had to be rather powerful... would you leave Rusty the Padawan to protect the Supreme Chancellor?) single-handily can only hurt Obi-Wan in a fist fight DOH! :lol
