Ok, so I am 44, and cannot remember a time where there was a man quite like the Donald running for President. Until recently, I did not take his chances all that seriously, but since he is now on the road to the possible Republican nomination, gotta say that he is a scary dude. He represents a part of America that I want no part of. That said, the U.S. is a democracy, and have learned to respect that people will vote for him. Even if I think they are seriously nuts for doing so.

Thoughts on this guy?

Shame we can't even talk about politics here. I tried to create a Presidential Thread and it was locked... like this one will be.

I don't see why the mods won't even allow one (yes, I know it is against the rules). Worst thing is it lasts two hours and you take three seconds to lock it. Best case is that everyone is civil and it lasts. Worth a shot in my opinion, especially since there seems to be interest to discuss it.

I would argue that this thread might remain a little more civil than most political threads since I suspect that collectors are not likely to represent Trump's target audience. I could be wrong though.

People are pissed off and Trump has tapped into that. Though I agree with a lot of the things he says, the way he goes about it is wrong. Attacking Cruz's wife was his latest.

I don't like any of them running and if anything, I'll vote for someone else on the list. There's always someone I have no idea who it is but they'll probably get my vote. Or I'll write someone in.

That being said......in before the lock. :wave

I have plenty to say but am so sick of talking and feuding about it. Ween summed up my thoughts nicely and I'll try to refrain and just leave it at that.

It is an overall poor pool of candidates and if Bloomberg jumped in he would've had my vote.

Cruz actually brought Trump's wife into it first, so Trump struck back :dunno

Both wives should have been left out of it though.

Any chance HT will make him in 1/6?

No... but funko is! Along with Bernie and Clinton :lol

I ordered them. I think they are pretty neat.

:lol:lol

In before the lock. But needless to say, I think he's a **** with a capital C.

Just like 'Shina'/'Schaiinah' has a capital C. Someone should probably inform him of that...

I'd love to talk about the election, but I know it's a no-no on here. To me, this has been one of the most entertaining elections (and political campaigns) I've ever witnessed. I've loved how it's unfolded even though politics shouldn't be a joke or a show.

Personally, I think all the candidates are awful. I'll definitely go out and vote, but man is it tough. Right now the candidate I'm leaning towards is the one with the most charisma and cojones. I like that brash attitude. If this country is gonna go to hell like all the other countries, why not do it in some style. I'll take a gamble with that em' as oppsed to the scandalous politician who should be thrown in prison.

Any chance HT will make him in 1/6?

I'd buy it as long as someone commissioned a $500 outfit fir him.

"I have to have my China"? LOL.

Mr. Green said it before, he's an opportunist businessman - the worst kind of businessmen. Mix that with politics and we get the worst combo.

Don't know about the candidate pool but none seem to be good. Haven't watch much since politics doesn't seem to produce leadership, imo.

In before the lock.

Unfortunately, as others are pointing out, politics can't be discussed here for good reason. They always, always degrade into something unpleasant. And I have no doubt that there are Trump supporters in our midst. Having said that, there is a lot of great commentary out there about him specifically and the primaries in general. Particularly the op-ed pages of the New York Times and Washington Post. Thread closed.
