How am I crippling myself man? You can live with your parents, come and go as you please and live your own life....It's not like im living in the constant security of my Mom and depend on her or not able to support myself, cause thats 's far from the truth....Ok if it sounds better, my Mom lives with me...lol

I wouldn't expect you to understand as I said. It's just something you have to experience. You probably depend on your mom more than you think or are admitting. At the end of it all anyway, in my opinion, your social life has already suffered because of the social taboo you are living in. You are a grown man...who lives as a child does. Any woman will see that. Society sees that, so do your friends. Sorry if you don't want to admit the consequences that come along for the ride.

I don't say this to be hurtful, usually I just say too much and don't censor things.

Your way off base man...First of all you have no right to judge me cause you don't know me...The only time I would have a prob of living with my Mom is if I was married and the house was too small, cause of course we would want our own privacy...But my social life is just fine and for your information i have a very understanding Girlfriend who doesn't judge me for it...So there are women out there and other ppl that understand...but im not gonna waste my time and get into a debate with you..Your just one of the many jaded ppl that I was talking about that make it sound like a bad thing...

I don't make it sound like a bad thing, it is a bad thing. You sound insecure about it to me.

I didn't mean to offend you but that is how I feel and I know that is how plenty of other people feel about the subject. You may have a GF who understands but she knows about it all as well. I may not know you but you don't know me either...how would you know I am jaded?:lol

Either way, when you finally leave the nest send me a PM and tell me how life has changed for you. I bet you will be very surprised by how much you change in the process.

I have actually lived with and without my parents ( do now ) and found it easier to live without :lol. No more moaning ! horray !! :lol.
I work with and without them so its no different really , the only one being that I physically see them.

Chill out guys , I'm sure none of you meant any offense at first and the topic just got way off hand.:gun:D

No im kool man, not inscure at all...You have a right to your own opinion as does everybody else... I have nothing to be ashamed or embarrased about, I live my own life and Im my own man...My defense rests...lol

Yeah, I admit I let it get to me a little, but that's why I ended it with my last post...Like I said it's just one man's opinion...I apologize to the original thread starter for letting it go off topic...

I know the beef got squashed, but I had to put in my opinion.

I have traveled up and down the east coast alone, on absolutely nothing, have been engaged to a girl I was with off and off for eight years, and my father passed away, leaving my mother, who I'm not ashamed to say IS my best friend, alone.

I'm 23, not with that chick anymore, and I live with my mom now. I've been on two independent record labels with my last band, have a ton of friends, go on trips semi-often... and I can say, that living 'at home' hasn't hindered a damn thing.

Dude, JC30 - living with the folks or not, I give you props just for living in Panorama City. That's a tough city man!

Don't go walking alone late at night over there (seriously).

There is no problem living at home, if your happy your happy! Once I get a few collectibles I want (exspensive ones) I am moving out then. Collecting eats alot of my $ :lol

House prices here are exspensive, but are coming down yay! I don't want to line someones pockets by paying rent. So I'll go when I can get a mortgage.

lol! I'm in the North Hollywood area off Laurel Canyon. That's the thing with the SF Valley man, most areas do look pretty rough around the edges, but are actually pretty safe. I work near Pacoima and we hit lunch in Panorama City from time to time, looks like a fairly rough city. :gun (Pacoima is not pretty either)
