I agree. One thing I hated about the recent franchise is the focus on the Fraser character. Poor Arnold Vosloo. He did a terrific job filling the (now CGI) gauze worn by Karloff and Lee, and he gets fourth billed.

I have to agree with you on that. I mean this looks like a guy at SDCC dressed as O'Connell. Even if I was interested in this, I wouldn't order until they fixed the sculpt. I'm really surprised just how much Sideshow dropped the ball on this. I mean its not one of those cases where the nose it a bit to big or the chin too long. This doesn't even look close.

Makes me really wonder if there were issues with Fraser's likeness, so they just went with "random dude" O'Connell. Though, the likeness being off would be right up there with their Michael Rooker looking Marcus Wright.

Even if this was 1/6, I still wouldn't get it. Dunno if anyone else feels the same, but the likeness is... pretty bad. Looks more like young John Connor than Brendan Fraser. Probably one of the least-impressive PF sculpts they've done. I'm betting it'll also show up on the GC list a few weeks after release.

Scrap the Mummy they should of gave us a line called the Legend of Clive Barker and started off with Rawhead Rex or Pinhead. Either statue or 1/6 figures. Then move onto Nightbreed.

Not sure I'd want the Sideshow interpretations though. Clive's work's been licensed out to several companies so we're not likely to see that happen since it'd be a licensing nightmare.

Yeah---but the movie is called "The Mummy" not the "Brendan Frasier" Not that it matters much. Because I honestly think that even if they made the Mummy it would be a weak seller. There's just not that devoted a fan base. Van Helsing may even have a more devoted fan base than Mummy does.

I wonder if there's issue using Frasers image like there are with Eastwood and weaver, so instead of an acurate portayal we got a brendanesque figure?
