So who do you want to see first?

I voted for Aragorn. I don't care if they do him as Strider or Elllesar first but I want both!
Then Gandalf or
Then Boromir
Then Gimli
Then they can go in their own order.

I want to see Frodo first. If they can do a good in-scale hobbit, then the others will be gravy.

But my guess is that we'll be seeing Aragorn first. Like Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars line, they'll want to start the series off with a prominent character.

i voted frodo as well, as lotr really is the story of his journey, much like star wars (ot) was luke's story and the nt was anakin's -- but, having said that, i really think we'll see aragorn first (& when you think about it, he does have a pretty big journey as well, from strider to the king, so, i guess it's his story as well).
