Just went ahead and pulled the trigger on this. My 2nd SooSooToy!
Same here. Picked up classic Loki and VD Boss. SooSoo is a contender
You will love it. My first SooSoo Toys figure. I have a handful of Toys Era, although good, you can tell they are of lower quality to Hot Toys. This Kingpin, quality about on par with Hot Toys where you would think it was one. Top three figure of the year for me.

So was there a consensus on a good black shirt for this guy?

Black shirt good. Me like black dickey better (w/ snap button removed).

Is this Boss head considerably larger than a regular 12 inch figure head?

It's within scale. Maybe not so much with Endgame Cap :p

Whelp, ordered the black vest and shoes from the Underground Boss, not realized how oversized that figure was. Soooooo.....epic fail. LOL.

The quest continues.

Hey guys, so my Kingpin arrived yesterday (ordered from Giantoy), but finally got around to unboxing him today and as everyone's been saying this is one helluva impressive figure in terms of weight and likeness!

That being said, I did notice a few minor defects with mine. Wanted to see if you guys think it's worth the effort to make an exchange.

1. The normal head sculpt unfortunately has a bit of black paint/speck on the top bridge of his nose, not a huge deal...but still, shouldn't be there since the bloodied head sculpt doesn't have that same black smudge on it.

2. The skin/material on one of his hands is scrapped off. It sorta looks like it could pass as bone underneath his skin, but I know that wasn't the intended effect they were going for.

3. One of his shoes is covered in dried glue and a bit blackened. I tried to clean it off and was able to remove some of it, but some residue still remains on it. It's not a huge deal for me since the pants can cover the blemishes.

It's my first time ordering from Giantoy so far and my purchasing experience has been solid (shipping was relatively quick, took about 10 days to arrive in NYC). Granted I hadn't reached out to them yet, but wanted to see if they are typically helpful in terms of customer service or would they potentially ban me for asking for replacement parts for minor defects?

Thanks!

I think that's worth reaching out to them. My only concern is with him being sold out. I haven't yet had to return anything to them, but they have always been great replying back and helping. I almost returned my dock ock that fell apart out of the box, but decided to fix myself. I could probably live with the shoe and hand, but the headsculpt would bother me.

Appreciate your 2 cents!

Got in the black shirt and extra normal sculpt from Toy Anxiety, and man this look sells it. This IS the Vincent Dā€™Onofrio Kingpin in 1/6. Iā€™d be tempted to put together a prison version, but it seems like it would be impossible to get a properly sized blue/orange jumpsuit. View attachment 608700
Did you have to modify the shirt at all? Do you have a link? Looks great!

https://toyanxiety.com/hell-flame-killer-shirt/This is the one I used, but itā€™s out of stock right now.
Modification is definitely necessary, this is such a large body even before the fat suit that itā€™ll be almost impossible to find a shirt that works as is. I cut off the arms and opened it under the armpits so it could stretch across the chest. Looks the part, but a dickie might work better as suggested above.

What about black shoes? Will normal 1/6 scale shoes work or do I have to paint the white ones he comes with?

So I heard back from Giantoys and their customer service response has been amazingly stellar thus far! They offered to pay for shipping if I wanted to return the item (which I don't want to do obviously).

Otherwise they said SST is completely out of replacement heads, but Giantoy offered to reimburse me $40 if I was to get a local artist to fix/re-paint the section. I've never gone the custom painting route...anyone know of any repainters and how much they cost?
