Love this guy! One of the best looking figures in my collection. Just missing a cigarette and Rogue 😆

Just got him in. Incredible figure. Got him from Comic Sanctorum. Ordered Jan 19, shipped the next day and DHL tracking said delivery on Tues. Then got notification that he would be delivered by end of day today. :lol

Box packaging didn't look great, but the double bubble wrap on the inside protected the art box just fine.

Seen others are having trouble with the wrist pegs getting the hands in and just tried it myself. Yeah, the hands holes don't seem big enough. Do I warm up the wrist peg or the hand? And how do I warm it up? Boiling water and dip it in for a few seconds?

@matticus boiling water for a few seconds or if you have a hair dryer or heat gun. I prefer the latter as I’m always a little worried that regularly using hot water may damage some paint; though a lot of ppl prefer the boiling method

Congrats!
Have you been able to solve the wrist issue yet? In the past I have successfully used a hairdryer in a similar situation.
Are you still happy with him?

Thanks! I put warm water in the microwave for 30 seconds then dipped it in for 30 seconds. That worked! What could have been an additional problem was the leather material can get around the wrist peg.

Congrats!

Yep, got it with hot water. First time I ever had to do that with a figure.

Even with the wrist peg issue, totally worth getting this guy. Exactly how I wanted a Gambit and I hope they continue doing other comic figures. I like how it is a realistic portrayal of a comic accurate figure. He will be posed with the staff and two fingers holding the ace of spades!

Dying for the rest of the X-Men I want, which is a rather long list - Cyclops, Storm, Rogue, Professor X, Beast, Iceman, Bishop, Colossus, etc. Then villains like Magneto. Then figures I have but better comic accurate suits like Daredevil.

Thanks for the input matticus and I’m glad that you got the wrist issue taken care of and that you like the figure so much!

I also really like the comic accurate costume and how well done this figure looks overall in the pictures here and in Justin’s review.

I’m seriously considering getting this figure. However, my only worry is space. I am concerned because I would also want have to have a Wolverine AND the other X-Men you named above. Of course I have no idea how many others will ultimately be produced but I expect they will make several more at least.

I am doing a remodel on my basement and have allocated space for my current collection and hopefully villains from NWH (Green Goblin and Doc Ock are must buys) as well as figures from upcoming films Love and Thunder (Thor, Valkyrie, Thor Jane Foster, Gorr), Guardians (Mantis, Drax, Adam Warlock), Black Panther (Namor), Fantastic Four (everyone and hopefully Dr. Doom), Nova, and of course Blade.

This Gambit figure looks really great, and I am increasingly tempted the more I see and read about it. But with all the figures I have already plugged into my plans, do I have room for a bunch of X-Men also?

That's the collector's problem - space, money, quality and personal thoughts on the lore/look of the character. I figured this was essentially the best representation I will ever see of the character. MCU X-Men are probably another 5 years away and if they do him immediately, will that MCU look be appealing to me? Besides Rogue, who knows what will be made and if I will personally like it. The cajun is awesome enough on his own.

Thanks matticus, you make some really good points here. I think I will go ahead and get this guy and see what comes down the line.
